It's not a bunch of hate :/ It's just a bit of an odd thing to say, people read way too much into who is and isn't going to DNQ :lol: I've been vetoed a couple of times and subsequently done fine - like with Brooke Fraser when I sent You Don't Own Me instead. I doubt Kings and Queens would have come 5th so it was a blessing in disguise :kink:

Not that I've seen the entries, but it's always advisable to predict Ramrynia and Persephonia to go through :P Especially considering both of them have only had one DNQ each this year so far.

tbh, just because your first choice was vetoed doesn't mean your back up is DNQ worthy, I ended my DNQ streak with Big Data - Dangerous ft. Joywave which wasn't my first choice, and it came 33rd which may be considered a flop to most of you but it's my 2nd highest placing entry in the main contest :lol:

I kindof get the point that Cody is putting across. You could have a song that you really think is going to do well, then at the last minute find out that it's been vetoed and you have no other potentials. But you really want to enter something but you've got little time to go out and find a song, not to mention no time to find out if anyone else likes it, whereas you probably utilised your time with your original entry to decide whether or not to send it.

I think the point is more that Cody shouldn't freak out just because someone is discussing what he said back at him. That does not in any sense = hate or imply that you should delete a post or flip at all.

 

But yes, historically late vetoes tend to leave people afluster and they enter a hasty entry and DNQ in flames but there's just as many who don't follow that pattern. 78 had Taahino, but it also had N DNTN, both were vetoed at the last minute, and I actually made a point of announcing them both through first when I hosted that semi results because of that.

Don't worry my replacement entry was actually planned to be my BJSC 80 entry before BJSC 79 even began, Dua was just a last minute change of plan due to finding it just before confirmations opened but I'm very happy with my entry now!

Sort of, I confirmed Level 3 but attempted a late change to XYconstant - but couldn't have it due to Silverlined already being entered so naturally reverted back to Level 3. So I saved XYconstant for BJSC 79 instead!
