Also, agree with Rich's prediction pretty much. Sad as it is they've totally killed any chance Kiera had with awful song choices and styling.

It's so sad, if only she'd had an 'I Will Always Love You' type moment this week she'd have been safe, but a Poundland Major Lazer remix of Return Of The Mack with a side of awkward dancing is not what ANYBODY ordered.

My curveball prediction, sort of, is Monica straght out. I think Kiera will get somewhat of a rebound to save her from the instant chop, but not enough to save her from the sing-off. Either way it's looking likely Rita will lose two girls :/

Reggie N Bollie bring the fun factor to the show, they're entertaining even if they're shite. Probably expect them to finish 5th/6th though.

So obvious that Anton must have done really well on the voting last week, with the stories in the press and those song choices, that was some very subtle 'throw under a bus' move haha.

I know I shouldn't but I love Reggie and Bollie :P I think the bottom 3 will be Kiera Mason and Monica with Kiera probably going straight home and it going deadlock with Mason and Monica . Max might possibly be in the bottom 3 as well though I think. Anton's peformance was car crash but I think his personality and character should see him through this week .Such odd song choices for him though don't know what the hell Simon was thinking .

That was a really poor night, I fail to see basically how any of those count as 'reinvention' at all.

 

My thoughts:

 

4th Impact (Quite poor this week and a bit stitched up with the death slot, I'm surprised, maybe the producers feel their too safe?)

Mason (Better vocals, but ultimately just boring. He's proving quite a poor choice of act for the live shows)

Anton (Good grief, no words. Have no idea what Simon was thinking there, trying to sabotage him already???)

Kiera (Errr, not great at all. Poor choice of song and the dancing/shoutouts were just cringey and didn't suit her. Goodbye I think)

Che (He's in a different class, a certain finalist)

Louisa (As above, but I wish she didn't to do those pointless vocal acrobatics at the end, becoming something's she's doing too much)

Seann (It was great, but it's all the same thing. I agree with Simon, he needs to try something different)

Monica (TITS...oops sorry, yeah that wasn't great really, can't really warm to her much at all, she's very much just there.)

Max (Better than last week, but unremarkable and I agreed with the judges about those pointless people on stage! Plus it really does grind my gears when a contestant covers a song done in a different style by SOMEONE ELSE and passes it off as their own, that was not reinvention, that was a straight out cover of Israel K's mash-up of the two songs)

Reggie N Bollie (Not afraid to say that was one of the best of the night :lol: I'll love it while it lasts, plus they definitely made that song their own so stuck to the theme!)

Lauren (Not reinvention at all, but much better than last week at least, find it a bit hard to get excited by her though sadly)

It really reminded me of when they painted Andrea gold last year on Halloween, because he led the first few weeks! That didn't work though as he was still 2nd that week.

Lauren was okay. Fine vocals, really dull girl and seems fake tbh.

I haven't watched regularly this year so just based on what I saw last week and tonight.

 

For me Che has the best voice by a country mile but not sure what they can do with him. Image will be a problem.

 

Louisa seems to be the chosen one this year, she is vocally extremely talented but she can be shouty and has to be careful of not giving "too much" all the time and people get fed up with it a la Andrea last year. Less is more sometimes etc.

 

And just an overall comment, its always been the same but I think its such a shame when they take someone like Monica through who has a stunning voice and individuality and make them into a cruise ship singer like they did tonight. So many talented people go by the wayside because of stupid themes. they should scrap themes in my opinion. They are always on about "showing the artist you will be outside the show" So why make people with rock voices sing Whitney and such nonsense?

 

Feel a bit sorry for Keira as I saw her IWALY performance which was fantastic but transferring to the lives she just looks awkward and if she doesn't go this week, she will very shortly. Poor song choices for her.

 

Seann's voice is incredible also and I think he will end up in the West End. Not sure why the fuss with Fourth Impact, pretty poor first half of the performance tonight but they are favoured with the judges so I can see them in the final but not winning.

In my list of what I think the public voting will look like, I can't decide whether Anton or Mason will get more votes. Neither of them, I feel, are in any real danger of being in the bottom three: if Mason could survive week one he will survive this week after giving a (admittedly not perfect) much more professional performance than last week. I could see him doing that type of smooth R&B music alongside the current songs reminiscent of today's demographic in his own career. Alongside Fourth Impact and Louisa, he's one of my favourite contestants for sure, and admist all the people who are painting him out to be a villian (he isn't; he made a mistake -- a mistake that admittedly made him look like a complete fool), he seems to honestly be quite popular and appeals to a voting audience who watch X Factor.

 

My list of acts from favourite to least favourite based on the two live shows as well as everything from the auditions, bootcamp and judges' houses:

Completely baffled as to why people think Max will be out. I think he'll be top 5 in the vote at least...

 

In danger tomorrow, I think, are Mason (after a bad performance that got lost in the craziness of the night, with an early running order position), Kiera (sadly), Monica and Anton. The latter could well scrape through after a good week last week but I'm really not sure who'd vote for him after this week's performance :lol:

I think if anything a really shockingly bad performance like that will GET, rather than lose votes. Sadly. I mean if nothing else it gets people talking, and I can see people feeling sorry for him with the obvious bussing going on. I think someone who just under performs or is quite weak compared to usual, like Monica this week, is more in danger.

Anton was seriously awful, as per usual. But Kiera... They have just completely killed her, lol. She was incredible during the audition stages, but she's gone to shit in the live shows, such an awkward performance tonight and the vocal wasn't great at all?
