Oh sure they could, I was just expecting one next week since it's impact week. But the other week they'll probably be really busy with tour rehearsals since they said they're a little lit with the dance routines

I don't think they're "getting it wrong" with promo, this song just isn't suitable for the occasions necessarily. I don't think they're performing Black Magic at the BRITS to push it to a million, or to sell the album, nor do I think they are specifically not performing this song. I'm sure they'll have been asked to perform Black Magic at the BRITS, and they'll be asked to do something fun for Ant & Dec, it's nobody's fault, it's just... how it is.

Yeh, Black Magic is WHY they're nominated/being able to perform at the BRITs and Ant & Dec isn't really a promo opportunity anymore, they don't really have anyone on to plug their new single anymore.

They have two nominations solely because Black Magic was one of the biggest selling British singles and one of the most viewed British videos? So, it is the sole reason they're nominated. :P

I think if Little Mix were slightly 'higher tier' in the eyes of the Brits, they'd probably have more freedom. For example Coldplay, Justin, Adele, Rihanna will be able to perform whatever they like. But Little Mix obviously won't be held in as high regard, they're lucky to have a performance slot. Which is total bullshit, and complete pop snobbery. But the only reason they're nominated at all is because of two default nominations for a specific song. The Brits should have had them nominated for best group, considering their commercial and critical performance last year, but they clearly haven't taken as much notice.

 

I do wonder if 1D were available (apparently they were told they could sing anything if they performed) would Little Mix still be on the line up. So it's not surprising the Brits want them to perform the obvious crowd pleasing choice. As disappointed as I am.

 

Either way, they're lucky they're perfoming and I have no doubt they'll out-perform most of the "higher tier" acts, I'm really excited to see them turn some heads.
