Released as a single from Mariah's grammatically-incorrectly-titled compilation #1's, Mariah's cover of I Still Believe is out in 28th. The cover of the Brenda K. Starr song peaked at #4 in the US, which was its highest position worldwide, achieving less success in the UK with a #16 peak. This position seems about right for the song I think!

The fourth single from Mariah's self-titled debut, I Don't Wanna Cry was also Mariah's fourth Hot 100 #1 in 1991, making her only the second act after The Jackson 5 to have their first four singles reach the top. Mariah has since said she dislikes the song because it "doesn't have a message", which is a shame as I think it's lovely :( It lost out in the tiebreak with Through the Rain surviving by a clear majority!

I shouldn't really vote on this given my dislike for her, and not knowing quite a lot of songs but keep popping in to throw a vote to We Belong Together, one of my most hated songs of all time.

:( You tart, that is pretty much one of my favourite songs from the entirety of the 2000s decade. :nono: Oh well I suppose our tastes can't be in line with each other ALL the time!
