Burn elevated her star status but her level of support from radio hasn't changed.

You dont seriously believe that do you?

She is much bigger now than when Halcyon was launched in 2013. It's bleedin' obvious isnt it.

I didn't disagree that she's bigger now, I disagreed about her radio support

Your Song was the hit that made Ellie bigger IMO, it was played on all stations for months and introduced her to that audience!
speaking of ellie, delirium is officially in front of all other chart-eligible albums on itunes... too late to make it number one officially?

I think yes and anyway physicals are still very strong in the albums chart and sales of iTunes are not very significant.

Little Mix seem to be selling more on physicals - they're 3 on Amazon while Ellie is 12 (Ellie had a noticeably higher digital share in yesterday's mids). Also Little Mix's standard on iTunes is 20 places higher than Ellie's, so even if Ellie is selling more now, I don't think there will be a huge difference in it.

A) Halcyon was launched in 2012.

B) We're actually talking about the fact that the 3 aforementioned songs were hammered by radio, which they were. I don't know why you're so intent on obnoxiously disputing it with a point which isn't even pertinent to this.

Starry Eyed // UK Airplay Chart Top 50

NE-45-48-X(1)-31-24-12-11-9-{7}-8-13-15-31-23-33-32-35-38-34-30-50-43-OUT <- 21 wks

So that's a total of 21 weeks in the Top 50 which I'd say is quite a bit of exposure.

Your Song // UK Airplay Chart Top 50

NE-10-5-{1-1-1}-6-11-19-20-34-42-OUT <- 11 wks

That's a way shorter stay than Starry Eyed had but a three-week stint at the Top so that's more than decent exposure as well.

Anything Could Happen // UK Airplay Chart Top 50

NE-41-27-17-16-12-{9}-22-23-32-21-24-38-49-OUT <- 13 wks

Despite spending 13 weeks in the Top 50 it only manages one week in the Top 10. Decent length but this run is all over the place.

I'd say Starry Eyed got the best end of this stick but they all got pretty good runs.

Your Song was mostly associated with the John Lewis ad over Christmas anyway and those songs tend to take fairly steep falls down the chart once the advert stops playing anyway, so no wonder Your Song's run was shorter! Either way, that's solid proof that her radio support is just as strong as it always was, thanks for posting them! :D

From MintRoyale,

@getweirdlads I’m afraid they’re quite a long way behind now, no amount of streaming will really help.

Anyone know when the next sales information will become available? Very intrigued to see the sales gap between LM and Elvis

There's no sales info I'm afraid. But he's probably more than 5k ahead now based on yesterday's figures.

Ellie won the BBC Sound of 2010 poll so she's had heavy support from the get-go. This is nothing new. Burn elevated her star status but her level of support from radio hasn't changed.

Yup. Ellie had huge support from all power players in the industry from day 1. She was prepped and primed for super-stardom, had won both the BBC Sound of 2010 and the BRIT Critics' Choice and "Starry Eyed" was hammered down by the radio. I mean, it's pretty obvious she had stellar promo, otherwise she wouldn't debut straight at the top.

Of course, now she's bigger than ever -- she couldn't have afforded Max Martin and Greg Krustin otherwise -- and her promotion is on "international A-list star" level so yeah... those are lackluster results. Although she is a consistent seller so there's still hope... and as I am sure it has been said already in this thread, if the album doesn't pick up, she'll just run back to the studio, re-do the whole thing and put it out as a re-release.

I can't wait until the 50 track opus Dark Delirium a year from now...

There's top 5 for now, I'll just add in the top 40 climbers/new entries, give me 10.

Edited by Joe.

Wow at Elvis's sales - selling ~13k a day by the looks of things! Going to beat his opening sales by the looks of things. Little Mix heading for 50k+ too!

99 Souls/Sigala will miss the top 40 then. Sigh.

Aurora to make the top 10 would be fab. Quite liking the song!

Great to see #4 and #5 where they are :D Jess to keep on going  too please.

If/when anyone has the info, can I know how #6 is selling/how close to MNEK please :)
