November 26, 201510 yr Anastacias album is 99p along with others on Google Play so hopefully that will give it a boost!
November 26, 201510 yr So, the effect of Now 92 in the top 40 singles is minimum, right? I think only Eyes Shut is getting some boost. "Don't Be So Hard On Yourself" would be out by Friday if it weren't for the NOW 92 effect
November 26, 201510 yr So 681K in the UK (it's fair to say the record is now taken) 2.4m in the US (from yesterday) 210K in Aus Just in those 3 regions that's 3.2million not counting other countries. And the week isn't out yet! 261k in Canada and she has already taken the title there of biggest sales in a week with more time to go.
November 26, 201510 yr "Don't Be So Hard On Yourself" would be out by Friday if it weren't for the NOW 92 effect I think also Marvin Gaye had a boost too, although it won't really reach the top 40 again.
November 26, 201510 yr So Adele smashed the all time fastest selling album record in the US in just 4 days, but took a whole 6 days to smash the all time fastest selling album record in the UK?? I can't understand why the UK doesn't get behind its biggest artist and support her like the US does. *mischievous face* :teresa:
November 26, 201510 yr Author So, the effect of Now 92 in the top 40 singles is minimum, right? I think only Eyes Shut is getting some boost. To add to what the others said, it may not have given it a climb but it stopped 'The Writing's on the Wall' from falling too far this week, it would have probably fallen from the top 20 otherwise.

I can't understand why the UK doesn't get behind its biggest artist and support her like the US does. *mischievous face* :teresa: You make it sound like she has under achieved when in reality she has sold an exceptional amount even in the UK in such a short space of time. The markets are different in UK to US anyway and she will still sell more than Oasis previous record so it's hardly like the UK haven't got behind this release.
November 26, 201510 yr Bieber and 1D are doing really well. The success of that Elvis album is baffling because it totally bombed in the US but I guess it's the orchestra that makes it successful in the UK
November 26, 201510 yr on 737k now according to the occ fb page, so 56k today http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/a...-record__12396/ Edited November 26, 201510 yr by Bjork
November 26, 201510 yr I thought my wording plus *mischievous face* and the smilie I used made it blatantly obvious, but evidently not! I was making a facetious point about some of the incongruous and over the top reactions in buzzjack threads about how the US was "comparatively" supporting Adele more. It should be evident to everyone that what Adele is doing sales-wise in the UK is incredible, nothing less, and has never been seen before.
November 26, 201510 yr on 737k now according to the occ fb page http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/a...-record__12396/ She will fall short of 800K but still nice :P
November 26, 201510 yr It depends on how much she sells on Thursday and Ed Sheeran sells through the whole week.
November 26, 201510 yr Another 50K should see her YTD number 1...another 30K to beat Oasis 7 day sales for be here now. Astonishing for todays album climate!
November 26, 201510 yr Adele hitting those sales in this day and age is just amazing. Following up the huge success of 21 was always going to be hard, but it certainly appears she has nothing to worry about and the album is only on sale for less than a week.
November 26, 201510 yr Last week Ed sold 20k, I think he will sell the same this week. So we have 775 + 20 = 795k for him and 737 + 50 = 785k for Adele. So in vidcapper's list I think Ed will be still at #1. Oasis are already beaten here and there.
November 26, 201510 yr So 8 days at the most. End of Friday Adele should be YTD if she just falls short today. Just 8 days to overcome 46 weeks sales...insane.
November 26, 201510 yr Google Play are offering 50% off any album so could give Adele a huge boost as it will make her album £4.49 on there!
