December 28, 20159 yr Drag Me Down    Actually really underrated I think, it's their second best track for me after WMYB. Such a great chorus and the post-chorus is very fun too. I think Zayn leaving has improved the dynamic in the group too!
December 28, 20159 yr Hi Josh, Never Forget You - Really great Dance song both their voices work  Jessie Ware - A very underrated track  Queen Of Peace - Gpod single choice amazing song
December 28, 20159 yr Trao Queen & Ayo the picks of that bunch. Both great club tunes that I never got tired of, although I would always listen to Loyal ahead of Ayo as it is an even better track.
December 28, 20159 yr MNEK feat. Zara Larsson - Never Forget You liking this  lovely vocals from both! I like Lush Life a fair bit more though, hope it can be big next year :yahoo: 034 Fetty Wap - Trap Queen (38-20-13-9-15-21-40-47-50-48-43-x) 11 weeks didn't like at first but grew to like it. The Two Friends remix though  definitely worked for me! 033 Jessie Ware - You & I (Forever) (14-40-32-19-24-35-44-48-48-29-33-29-35-32-42-x) 15 weeks heard the Shift K3Y remix I think it was the other day, v nice :D 032 Chris Brown feat. Tyga - Ayo (48-42-20-10-11-6-11-21-34-39-45-49-50-x) 13 weeks nice work as a Loyal part 2 :music: Loyal is even better though!
December 31, 20159 yr Author Thanks for all your lovely comments, sorry I can't reply to them this time around because I'm in a rush! The next 10 coming up shortly because I've been absent from here for a few days :/

Florence + the Machine - What Kind of Man (4-2-1-3-6-9-10-13-25-30-38-39-44-49-xx[2]-34-45-45-50-x) 18 weeks 30. Florence + the Machine - Delilah (6-6-4-5-3-10-...) 6 weeks (SO FAR) Stitches - Clocking in 15 weeks already whilst still #7 in the most recent chart is Stitches. One of my longest runners is a track that just refuses to get old. He has a fresh and unique voice, an interesting and re-watchable video and one hell of a pop song on his hands and for all of them reasons, I really love this track. Sorry - Another long runner than always seems to just sound so fresh, I've liked some of Justin's tracks before but none of them have been this exciting and polished, a real banger with plenty of fun injected into it. I love the dance video too, so many wacky dance moves *-* On My Mind - Everyone seems to shit on this but for me it is one of Ellie's peak career moments, a perfect retaliation to Ed's 'Dont', an energetic chorus and chilling vocals where Ellie really shows how good she is at uptempos. The live performances have been disappointing but in studio form, this is really good. The Heart Wants What It Wants - Only an 8 week run for this, not sure what happened there but it made #1 at least. Nowadays I love listening to this, it was the start of her new urban sound and she does sultry so well. Watch out for Hands to Myself on my 2016 list! All Eyes On You - Probably one of the only charts to put this anywhere near their top 100 but this is just one smooth hip hop track, every person on the track gives their best from Nicki's fierce verse, Chris' catchy hook and Meek doing a good job too. Pray to God - I love Haim and I love Calvin so a perfectly executed fusion of the two artists' sounds was something I was going to enjoy. This puts the best of both worlds together for one energetic dance stomper and I love her piercing the vocals are too! Big Girls Cry - Still some more Sia to come but I love this because Sia is so good at soaring chorus with thrilling vocals, not going to comment on the lyrics because I don't understand them but the sheer beauty of her voice makes this one fantastic song. The Hills - Never expected to have a Weeknd song this high after not really knowing much about him before but The Hills just kept on growing for weeks, it has electric production and every beat gets you pumped for the next. The scream before the chorus is one of my favourite moments in a song this year. What Kind of Man - Another long runner but this wasn't hasn't really stood the test of time for me, I do like it a lot but there is something I don't know that stops me from loving it. It's exciting, it's fiery, it's unique but I still don't adore it. But it's Florence so it's still almost perfect and that's why it earns such a high spot here. Delilah - This makes three Florence songs in a row, wow! I was debating whether to put this or QoP in the top 30 but I decided this just had more energy towards the end which made it more exciting but I love them both a lot hence the high positions.
January 1, 20169 yr That's a great section, I wonder what songs you've saved for the top 20 now. Glad we feel the same about Stitches, I love it just as much as I did six months ago. Sorry is by far Justin's best for me and I fully agree with you with On My Mind too, especially the chorus. Indeed All Eyes On You won't be in my EOY but it is really nice! I haven't listened to Delilah yet, but probably should after seeing all the praise for it, I don't quite adore What Kind Of Man either but her other two singles this year are massive faves!
January 1, 20169 yr Pray To God is one of Calvin's best of recent, shame it flopped so much. Love On My Mind too, I don't understand the mixed reception it has here (though it doesn't help that her X Factor performance of it was crap)
January 2, 20169 yr Sorry so high up already is quite something! On My Mind had a pretty mixed reaction but I've always enjoyed it even if it's not her strongest lead. Selena Gomez another who's had a great year, like the new sultry route she's going in.
January 2, 20169 yr i honestly don't dislike one song of that bunch, especially florence  what kind of man is a tune
January 2, 20169 yr Author i honestly don't dislike one song of that bunch, especially florence  what kind of man is a tune  Thank you Callum, WKOM is a tune, don't think it'll be my fave on HBHBHB in a few years time though! Ta! That's a great section, I wonder what songs you've saved for the top 20 now. Hopefully you'll like some of the stuff in the top 10, I'll post a list when we get to the top 10. The chorus to OMM is really fantastic, so much energy, not sure why people dislike it so much. You should listen to Delilah, it gets especially good towards the end when she starts getting well into it, marginally stronger than QoP for me. Thanks Riser! Pray To God is one of Calvin's best of recent, shame it flopped so much. Love On My Mind too, I don't understand the mixed reception it has here (though it doesn't help that her X Factor performance of it was crap)Hi Dan I think maybe it'd have done better if it was a single earlier on because everyone seemed to love it on here at least. Yeah the XF performance was pretty terrible but in studio form, it's a very exciting track imo. Sorry so high up already is quite something! On My Mind had a pretty mixed reaction but I've always enjoyed it even if it's not her strongest lead. Selena Gomez another who's had a great year, like the new sultry route she's going in. Hi Dobbo Well I still can't get enough of it and it's been almost three months now so I had to put it up this high, he's been fantastic this era. For me it probably is her strongest lead single although Starry Eyed was also pretty great, OMM is like a better ACH with more energy and Burn is a bit boring. I love her new sound too, at least the US seem to be loving her more than ever and the UK to some extent with GFY now being her biggest hit :D Thanks Dobbo! Thanks Dan!

Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself (8-6-4-6-9-3-2-3-2-2-5-8-12-21-29-40-47-x) 17 weeks I Really Like You - I never thought Carly would make a piece of pop music half as good as Call Me Maybe but she came very close with this, I loved it on first due to that insanely infectious chorus but when the video came around I feel even more deeply in love because everything about it was so fun. One of the catchiest choruses of all time despite perhaps not being the best lyrics :P Not Letting Go - This is a bit under-appreciated I feel but for me this is a fantastic pop track, Tinie does a good job as usual with a nice bit of wordplay but the real highlight is Jess, she sounds excellent on the very catchy chorus and the middle 8 is even better. I love the 'this thing we have, it can't be bought or sold' bit the most. FourFiveSeconds - This isn't what I really wanted from Rihanna's comeback and I was disappointed with how plain it was to begin with but it really gets in your head and it's the perfect track to show good Rihanna really is at singing. Kanye does ruin it a little and I'm not so sure on the little noises in the background but the reality is that I do love this and it is up there with other Rihanna classics like Disturbia, Russian Roulette and Take a Bow. Champagne Kisses - I said earlier how Jess is one of my favourite artists of the year and when you just look at how beautiful her tracks like this are you can see why. Not sure why this wasn't a worldwide #1 but it somehow didn't do very well even following two top 40 hits. For me her voice is just so lovely so I pretty much love everything. 679 - The last Fetty track to appear and of course the catchiest, pure jam from start to finish, I know all the words and they always pop in my head at random moments because it's one of those tracks you can't leave behind. #1 party tune too. Body On Me - Rita Ora is pretty good at pop music and we all know that but her dip into R&B was also very pleasing on the eyes, Chris probably helps but we ended up getting a very smooth and polished track with nice ad libs and a very catchy chorus, shame it has such a low official peak compared to the rest of her tracks. Doing It - This seems to be really quite forgotten now but for me it really is a fantastic pop track, very catchy and it was a great team-up track. I like the video a lot too, especially because Charli just looks so awkward through the majority of it. Throw Sum Mo - Another track that I expect nobody or very little people will have in their EOY but it's just such a slick track that it sounds good all the time. It was a bit of a slow burner for me hence the lower peak compared to other tracks up this high but it has one very catchy chorus and pretty good raps too. This is the third highest non-#1 in my EOY this year and highest #4 just ahead of Stitches in the last batch. Dear Future Husband - Everyone seems to hate this song or Meghan in general recently but for me it's her personality and cheeky lyrics that win me over. The hooks are catchy and the video is vibrant and I like the tongue in cheek lyrics too although I can see why people don't. Don't Be So Hard On Yourself - Jess had a nice little tune on her hands with Hold My Hand but this kept a similar sound and just made it 10x better, it's uplifting, it's catchy, it's fun to sing to, she sounds great on. Another track by Jess where the bridge is the best thing in it, she just sounds so good when she belts out her tracks.

Nicki Minaj & Bebe Rexha - Hey Mama (#1, 3 weeks) Fifth Harmony feat. Kid Ink - Worth It (#1, 2 weeks) ANY PREDICTIONS? Edited January 2, 20169 yr by Josh Josh Binks
January 2, 20169 yr Brilliant chart josh. Lots in line with mine once again. I loved your commentary, I still don't get why Pray To God didn't do better than it did? Jessie's CK Is such a special song and I really wish she'd chosen it as single 3 instead of You and I forever, as YAIF sucked up 3 weeks A-list that CK could have gotten, and I'm sure it would have been big for Jessie. Probably even top 40! Double Little Mix top 10*.*
January 2, 20169 yr Josh, I am the floppiest of all floppy chart commentators as I've been checking in with this since November but never let you know until now! Sorry about that. :snif: Regarding albums, there's a lot I really like, especially 'Purpose', 'Nothing But Thieves' and 'FROOT', and it's good to see 'Delirium' do well with you because I agree that it's underappreciated in general. There's lots of great stuff on that (which I should really make a new tracklist/playlist from) but it lacks quality control/is overlong IMO. 'Every Open Eye' is a weird one for me as I've found it all too cohesive the few times I listened, which meant the individual tracks as well as the overall thing left little impression...but then I also think I was distracted at those times so I dunno  (but your praise is promising)! Also, your bit on James Bay's album has convinced me to buy it for my parents lol. I listened to it ages ago and remember being impressed but my mum and dad randomly went crazy for his voice when they saw him on Jools on NYE (albeit when they'd been going heavy on the Prosecco) so I'm thinking the album could go down well! Too many good songs featured here to mention but big shout-outs to the love for Katy B's ad libs in 'Turn The Music Louder (Rumble)', 'Kamikaze', the Selena tracks (I think THWWIW was #24 for me last year :o), 'You & I (Forever)', double Jess in your top 20 (I realise DBSHOY is similar musically to 'Hold My Hand' but, like you, I much prefer the former...in fact I actually can't stand the latter, weirdly), and it's always good to see 'FourFiveSeconds' appreciation as it tends to get an unfairly hard time. <3 As for predictions, I'm gonna guess Taylor for the top spot (or failing that, 'Love Me Like You') but am rooting for 'Lean On'. :D Edited January 2, 20169 yr by Noahspike
January 2, 20169 yr HEY. Still don't get On My Mind :( She lost me this era, i'm afraid. Good to see Sorry, Big Girls Cry, Champagne Kisses () and I Really Like You here! Getting into the top 10 eek, my big favourite is Elastic Heart but liking most of them (Meghan aside <_<). I'd predict a Little Mix win but who knows!? :o Excited nonetheless~
January 2, 20169 yr Meghan Trainor - Lips Are Movin (#1, 5 weeks) Little Mix - Love Me Like You (#1, 7 weeks) Taylor Swift - Bad Blood (#1, 1 week) Little Mix - Black Magic (#1, 1 week) Major Lazer feat. MO & DJ Snake (#1, 5 weeks) Sia - Elastic Heart (#2) Pia Mia feat. Chris Brown & Tyga - Do It Again (#1, 2 weeks) Like all of these and love Major Lazer, Sia and Meghan especially, 'Lips Are Movin' is my favourite of hers with BWID and LIGLY following behind!. I'll comment on your rundown again when you've recapped and i'll comment from where I left at :P
January 2, 20169 yr Good to see another fan of FourFiveSeconds here, its performance in my EOY pales in comparison to yours! Dear Future Husband & Don't Be So On Yourself are both excellent tracks from each artist, only Right Here tops it in terms of Jess' solo stuff for me.
January 3, 20169 yr some great songs in the top 20 so far. absolutely love 'Don't Be So Hard', Jess' voice on record is just simply amazing!!! also '679' one of my faves of the year, it's near enough the same position in my EOY too though it only ever peaked at #9 for me. 'FourFiveSeconds' was a great Rihanna comeback too, she and Bieber are proof that uptempo acoustic songs can be great. I expect it'll be between Little Mix and Meghan Trainor for your #1 but I hope Major Lazer does it as I actually love that song.
