Commentary will get longer and more brutal as we get further down the countdown. I promise :) (Especially from 25 onwards where any of those songs would have made my top 10 last year!)

 

Kicking off the top 40 is Maroon 5 who have been really bad on the whole this era (Maps and Animals are even worse but Sugar is really good). This is such an uneventful and annoying song, glad it flopped very badly for their usual high standards.

 

Next up is one of the few female artists on this countdown which is Beyonce for her racket 7/11. Tbh I've been disappointed with a lot of Beyonce's newer material (though she might turn it around as Runnin is one of the best songs of the year!) and this is just an awful screechy mess that I wish just went away.

 

Jason Derulo's horribly overplayed Want To Want Me is up next and somehow spent 4 weeks at number #1 as the UK public went death for a weeks. It is such a stupid song that is uncatchy and annoying and I haven't liked anything from Jason this era (Cheyenne is so overrated). So not looking forward to his X-Factor performance tomorrow :( And on a sidenote, can he stop taking his top off in every single video, SO ANNOYING :drama:

 

Next up is a song that would have been a lot higher in this chart until about a month ago (and I need to correct my statement from #50-#41 that Bieber only had 1 more song to come because he still has another song!). This is an awful song but since I barely hear it anymore, it's not too bad and the 10 seconds on the chart show nowadays also isn't unbearable. Though Bieber's vocals are terrible and the Skrilplo breakdown is just horrible and awful. Still a terrible song. This also applies to a song 2 songs ahead of it in Shut Up + Dance by Walk The Moon. I still hate the song but I have occasional listens of it where it actually isn't too bad (like last year). Though it so didn't deserve to be that big of a hit in the chart and I wish it was never a hit.

 

In between those 2 big hits is a song I originally forgot to include in my countdown but Taylor Jago thread reminded me of its existence. Ne-Yo has had an awful year- Coming With You (another song I forgot existed!) is also terrible. She Knows is a crappy R&B awful with terrible lyrics and vocals. It's like a less bad version of I Don't Mind (which will come later) but is still terrible.

 

Next up is a song that thankfully didn't dent the chart in the form of David Guetta and Tragic's Sun Goes Down. This was obviously going to be awful judging by every other song the featured artist have made, they have still not made a song I don't absolutely hate. In front of that is the awful Tough Love racket (Pony is also bad but not top 50 bad) that thankfully missed the top 10 and peaked at #11. Such a mess and horrid song :puke2:

 

And the last 2 songs for this section both come courtesy of Lethal Bizzle with the awful Fester Skank and the even more awfuller RariWorkOut. Both are pieces of rubbish which are just yeah really awful and I hate the lyrics for both.

 

#30-#26 will probably come later tonight

#25-#21 will probably start tomorrow and it will go 1 by 1 per song from then as there are 25 massive crimes against music this year!

Starting the top 30 is the massively overrated and bland Years And Years with the boring ballad Eyes Shut. I tried to like this as I love most ballads (that aren't by John Legend) but gosh it is so boring and Olly's vocals are horrid. Such a terrible song and I really hope this doesn't become a hit.

 

Flo Rida finally released a quite good song for the first time in ages with G.D.F.R but he sinks to one of his biggest lows yet with I Don't Like It, I Love It. This track unfortunately brought Robin Thicke back to the music world whereas the only place he should be took is the rubbish dump. Anyway this is cringey horrid song with squeally vocals and is incredibly annoying.

 

The Scones unfortunately jumped off the Asda self to release their horrid single Oh My Love which thankfully never hit the top 40. I hated it the first time I heard it and sadly I've seen the unbearable advert about 300 times soon. Thankfully one of the best songs of the year is now on the Asda advert so Asda are forgiven *.* But oh my love is such a horrid uncatchy and VERY ANNOYING song.

 

Another annoying song that always seems to be on Capital all the time (serving This Is How It Feels Like teas- another dreadful song) is the Party. The vocals are awful and I don't like the dance breakdown, very poor song.

 

And the last entry from Bieber this year just misses the top 25 and the 1 by 1 commentary. I really hope I'll Show You doesn't become a single at some point as it is so bland, boring and crap. It just goes on and on and Bieber's vocals sound terrible on it; the production is awful! Not as bad as some of his old stuff but still terrible. Anyway there is a massive gap in 26 to 25 in quality (the whole top 25 would have made my worst 10 last year) so be prepared for songs getting torn apart and really bitchy comments :P

Not the biggest fan of Y&Y but Eyes Shut isn't that bad, massively overrated on here because it's a bit boring but it's not bad at all, I was quite enjoying it at one bit but just not that interesting.

 

I loved I Don't Like It, I Love It, so ridiculously catchy, I'm a bit of a sucker for whistling in songs though so this just turned it into a chorus and I still loved it :lol:

 

I like all of these pretty much and a few will be appearing in my top 100 :lol: Shut Up + Dance is horrid though, it was only OK to begin with but it jsut became SO bad with all the overplay - the All of Me of 2015 for sure.

For a Better Day was one of two good songs on the album, I quite liked it. Way better than The Days and Broken Arrows etc.

 

I like Wanna Do as well, was sceptical by more Youtuber music but it was alright, nothing special but catchy ^_^

 

Love Me So is the only really bad one there for me although Rhymes ang King got old, I only liked the creepy drop in the former, the lyrics were annoying in it but the drop made up for it.

Before this JB era I wasn't a fan and only like a very small amount of his songs i.e. Beauty and a Beat which I love and a couple of his featured songs. Since Where Are U Now and What Do You Mean have been released I'm enjoying his songs and even the album is quite good :o

 

#49 King WHAT? It's a great track! Kinda surprised it's here tbh :(

#48 I know you're not a fan of most Avicii songs :P this is quite different to his usual stuff which I wasn't keen on at first but I find it quite catchy :D if you had to choose would you prefer this over his usual stuff?

I like all of these pretty much and a few will be appearing in my top 100 :lol: Shut Up + Dance is horrid though, it was only OK to begin with but it jsut became SO bad with all the overplay - the All of Me of 2015 for sure.

Y&Y are so overrated on here oops again :kik: I usually adore whistling in songs but not that one! Shut Up + Dance is horrid but I actually feel sorry for it getting a comparison with The Torture Song :lol: :lol:
