I love Itch, more high-energy fun rock which is what they do best. Wake Up Call hit me the most but I know you weren't as huge on that. I am glad that the album was a bit different and gave us slower stuff too though.

 

Talking of high-energy Runaway was the epitome of that, so euphoric and energetic and I love squeaky robot vocals too :wub: Just sounds so good playing it out loud!

 

Glad to see another list have Dream Lover high, we'll be two of a small group I think but I love atmospheric it was. Different for them but it really worked for them and I love when it gets all big towards the end :wub:

I love Itch Its a real banger and Wake Up Call just isn't the song for me oops :( The album is amazing :heart:

 

Runaway is amazing just a great song to play really loud :heart:

 

Dream Lover is different for them but it really does work well for them. Me too the big finish sells the song for me :heart:

Top 5 Artists of the year(excluding the 5 breakouts)

5. Jess Glynne


Jess Glynne is at #5 in my countdown not only has she claimed a number one album in my album chart. She has also claimed three singles in the top 10. With Hold My Hand getting to number one, Don't Be So Hard On Yourself peaked at 6 and recent Children In Need/Fifth single Take Me Home peaked at #9. So she is officially one of my favourite artists this year.

4. George Ezra


Firstly this seems really low for George but he would have most likely been number one in 2014 and not been in this in 2015 if I had my chart then. However decided to include him this year instead. He has had a big 2015 in my chart. 2 Number one singles, Number one album which has the longest consecutive steak at number one. Two other top 10 singles this year and a top 40 peak for Budapest (which trust me last year would have been a number one :lol:)

3. The Vaccines


The first not person her too not be on their début album. With two other albums I was really looking forward to new material then at last it came. Since then they have had three top 10's in the single chart and one top 20 there also. They have also had a number one album.

2. Ellie Goudling


Elle Goudling won the BBC Sound of in 2010 and has made me a fan ever since her début single 'Under The Sheets. In the year 2015, five years later, still a massive fan. She has a number one single (Love Me Like You Do) which spent four consecutive weeks at the top spot - the longest song to do so. The song also spent 25 weeks overall - the longest to do so. Also a top 5 peak for second single ' On My Mind' and a Number one album which is stuck currently at #2.


1. Florence + The Machine


For her first album since 2011 and third overall Florence was a artist I was looking forward too seeing and boy was I not disappointed. First single 'What Kind Of Man' reached number one. Follow up singles 'Ship To Wreck', 'Queen Of Peace' and 'Delilah' have each peaked at 2,4 and 6 respectively. In the album chart she reached number one and is currently the longest runner for a album, lasting 27 consecutive weeks. Then re-entered for currently 2 more weeks.

Why: The way the song progresses from slow to fast easily is why I love the song. I also love Conrad's vocals in this he is very talented.

 

19. James Bay - Hold Back The River

Why: This originally came out in 2014 and reached 22 then. However the song was re-released beginning of 2015 and climbed to #2 in the UK Charts. I love James Bay and his vocal range is so damn good :heart:. Really pleased he has had success this year.

 

18. Florence + The Machine - Queen Of Peace/Hot Chip Remix

Why: The first of three appearances in the top 20 from Florence + The Machine, I have always loved Florence so no wonder why she has done well in my chart. She just is a unique artist in the way she sings, the way she writes, the way she performs and the way she does videos for the campaign.

 

17. Adele - Hello/High Contrast Remix

 

Chart Run: Adele – Hello/High Contrast’s Unofficial Bootleg [2-1-1-2-2-3-4-5] (8 Weeks)*

 

Why: Adele Came Back stronger than Ever at the end of 2015. Her new single Hello hasn't left my top 10 in my chart yet. I love this, love her vocals. Love her video for the single. Just coming close to being one of my favourite Adele singles.

 

16. Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love?

Why: In Term's of dance DJ's Calvin Harris is my favourite. After Last single 'Pray To God' Flopped officially he teamed up with dance trio Disciples for 'How Deep Is Your Love?'. This song is a banger, still cant get enough :heart: Calvin done great as always

 

Hi Harry. I've missed most of this so just catching up now - but really liked Rae Morris, Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars, The Vaccines, Alex Adair and Philip George (great dance tunes from early 2015), Florence + The Machine and Adele so far.

 

Hoping for some Tame Impala still to come maybe? :D
