241 Kat Dahlia - I Think I'm In Love - 25-19-28-X (3 weeks)

242 Lucie Silvas - How To Lose It All - 35-38-X (2 weeks)

243 KStewart - Keeping You Up - 14-39-X (2 weeks)

244 Lauren Aquilina - Ocean - 19-27-37-X (3 weeks)

245 Callaghan - Best Year (2015) - 34-14-21-40-X (4 weeks)

246 Fuse ODG - Thinking About U (feat. Killbeatz) - 40-X-18-24-35-X (4 non-consecutive weeks)

247 Isa - Don't Stop - 30-36-X (2 weeks)

248 Cassadee Pope - I Am Invincible - 8-22-40-X (3 weeks)

249 AJ Lehrman - Unbelievable - 16-24-X (2 weeks)

250 Suite 16 - Stupid Lovesong - 15-30-X (2 weeks)

I'll be doing the songs in batches of 10 for a while to speed through this list, especially the bottom end which mostly consists of songs I enjoyed for about a week then got bored of :kink: Basic teenage male pop makes up the bottom 2, with good pop songs from Suite 16 and AJ Lehrman (S Club 7's support act) but nothing too much to get excited over. Cassadee Pope has this year's lowest placed top 10 hit, with I Am Invincible having a huge drop from 8-22 in the weekly chart back when it premiered. Not entirely sure why I felt the need to chart it top 10 really, it seems odd looking back. Eurovision (kinda) rears its head at #247 with Isa - three more Eurovision-related songs are still to come, Adam rejoices :kink: IT'S FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE at #246, followed by a woman called Callaghan who no-one will know :') Lauren Aquilina's first major label single was slightly disappointing for me, hence the low placing for Ocean here. She's capable of more interesting songs :( Finally, we round out the section with some Sandénia impact, from their entry by Kat Dahlia from earlier this year, as well as ex-entrant KStewart, who appears higher up as well. Oh, and a Lucie Silvas album track. Wahey.

The first "artist of the year" section will be posted after #181 on the songs countdown btw, and then the next artist will be revealed every 20 songs ~

PICK OF THE SECTION

'I Think I'm In Love'

Disappointed at the lack of Bea in the albums though x

I think she would literally be #31 :drama: Got kicked out last minute, gah. Her album is very good though! Honourable mention *.*

Ocean was so disappointing, especially after Time To Say Goodbye :(

Adore How To Lose It All and Don't Stop from that section  Especially the latter which is such a fun and amazing pop song

Joseph.

Troye <3 <3 <3 <3

In the singles chart

243 KStewart - Keeping You Up - 14-39-X (2 weeks)

244 Lauren Aquilina - Ocean - 19-27-37-X (3 weeks)

246 Fuse ODG - Thinking About U (feat. Killbeatz) - 40-X-18-24-35-X (4 non-consecutive weeks)

Only know these three

Oh!! When I saw the clip of Fuse ODG on X Factor I genuinely had the thought that he wouldn't appear in your EOY and was quite disappointed to think that! Very relieved to be wrong although I'm not familiar with that song :kink:

I haven't listened to Cassadee's song either, such a flop fan :( :( :( Hoping for more recognizable songs in future sections :heehee:

Troye's album is BEYOND so I'm really glad that's #1 (even if it was expected :kink:)

Kat Dahlia's content has been pretty consistent so glad to see that have some sort of impact :)

If Taylor Swift had released 'Don't Stop' it would be top 10, this Melfest racism Joseph.

The impact of FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE, Jordan *_*

Seems you knew my EOY #1 album before I did Cody LOL, glad you're loving the Troye album, it really is insane (:jameela:). He needs more recognition :(

Adam, I refer you back to my Ulrik top 2 in 2013 xx

Thanks to you three plus UV and Harry for the comments too!!

231 Jessie J, Jhené Aiko & Rixton - Sorry To Interrupt - 9-16-33-X (3 weeks)

232 Dinah Nah - Make Me (La La La) - 22-27-31-38-X (4 weeks)

233 Ellie Goulding - Army - 25-24-27-X (3 weeks)

234 Reed Deming - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - 6-9-40-X (3 weeks)

235 Carrie Underwood - Little Toy Guns - 25-28-36-40-X (4 weeks)

236 Troye Sivan - DKLA (feat. Tkay Maidza) - N/A

237 Sia - Big Girls Cry - 19-22-26-X (3 weeks)

238 Lucie Silvas - Shame - 13-23-33-X-19-25-32-X (6 non-consecutive weeks)

239 Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - I Know What You Did Last Summer - 16-33-… (2+ weeks)

240 Laura Mvula - You Work for Me - 12-19-34-X (3 weeks)

The quality starts to pick up in this section, kicking it off with Laura "Under The Dome" Mvula (a joke only Jay will get :') ). You Work For Me is a great song, although it fails to live up to the incredible Green Garden of course. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's collaboration hasn't hit me as much as I wanted it to, hence its low position here, maybe it will get a proper single push soon and impact higher next year, who knows. Stitches is of course still to come, not for a while yet though! Another Lucie album track is joined by a Troye album track in this section, as DKLA is the first song to appear that hasn't charted in my top 40 (more to come, and all are album tracks lmao). DKLA has grown on me a massive amount since I first heard it, definitely worthy of its position here. I never would've expected something quite so dark from him going by his personality. Sia and Carrie Underwood both make their first appearances of two and three respectively, as well as Ellie Goulding with Army. Which is meant to be the new single but god knows anymore as it seems to just not be happening. Oops. Reed Deming's cover of a Christmas song is very good but is obviously affected by only impacting for a few weeks. Finally, another MelFest song from Dinah Nah (one left plus a Eurovision entry), and Jessie J rears her head at #231 with Kelloggs smash hit Sorry To Interrupt, alongside Jhené Aiko and Rixton.

PICK OF THE SECTION

hi Joseph

Sorry to Interrupt was actually quite a jam - had a real nice sound going and I liked the mixture of all the voices, big shame that it was for Kelloggs for starters and also that it didn't get pushed.

I'm a really big fan of Big Girls Cry, she sounds best on those big chorus moments and that's exactly what this is, one of her best for me :o

:D

Have not listened to Troye's album but definitely took note of him following Happy Little Pill - that song is still sublime.

Years & Years album was quite strong overall but they've definitely picked the right songs for singles, though not a big fan of Eyes Shut.

FLOP GAY!

It's a miracle I even know who she is considering Eurovision basically lasts 1 week a year for me http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/uploads/group_images/of_18_icon.gif

Hi Josh, thanks for the comment!

Sorry to Interrupt is pretty fun, it worked as a collab and it could've done well had it been pushed. The Kelloggs thing really cheapened it :(

Big Girls Cry is one of her best for me too although I only really know the last album :kink: I think what puts it lower down on here is that my love for it happened before it actually got a single push really, if that makes sense.

Sublime describes the entire album I think, I can't recommend it enough  Some songs are really instant and others are huge growers, such an amazing body of work.

I agree that they've picked the right singles so far! I adore on Eyes Shut and you'll see just how much later on in the countdown :heehee:

Thanks Dobbo :D

Hi Joseph,

233 Ellie Goulding - Army - 25-24-27-X (3 weeks)

235 Carrie Underwood - Little Toy Guns - 25-28-36-40-X (4 weeks)

236 Troye Sivan - DKLA (feat. Tkay Maidza) - N/A

239 Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - I Know What You Did Last Summer - 16-33-… (2+ weeks)

Like this songs espically Army, Troye  and Sia

:snif: What a beautiful top 3 & set of write ups

The Troye album came from nowhere and properly hit me, it's everything you described it as. I love your appreciation for him as an artist/person too - it certainly shines through his lyrics and the album as a whole <3 (and yay for 'DKLA' making it in the singles chart, a favourite of mine now!).

Elsewhere, EMOTION is too low ("Now preparing to be murdered by Ball." !!!!) :D and some disgusting female horrors tainting the rest of the chart (they know who they are) x Good to Jackie there though and a shout out for 'Give Me Love' *.*

Songles ;o I know very, very little so far Lol but 'Big Girls Cry'

Army, Big Girls Cry and I Know What You Did Last Summer

The former deserved such a big boost from Children In Need, wish it was a hit :(

In love with IKWYDLS at the moment, amazing collaboration

221 Hunter Hayes - Someday Girl - 20-36-X (2 weeks)

222 Meghan Trainor - Bang Dem Sticks - 36-X (1 week)

223 Karen Harding - Say Something - 31-29-17-22-28-34-39-X (7 weeks)

224 Kelly Clarkson - Heartbeat Song - 31-32-40-X (3 weeks)

225 Ella Eyre - Together - 17-26-35-X (3 weeks)

226 Charli XCX - Need Ur Luv - 35-X (1 week)

227 Austin Mahone - Torture - 29-16-17-27-35-X (5 weeks)

228 David Zowie - House Every Weekend - 38-13-12-22-33-X (5 weeks)

229 Austin Mahone - Dirty Work - 10-17-23-33-38-X (5 weeks)

230 Little Mix - Love Me Like You - 27-25-34-X-39-X (4 non-consecutive weeks)

The UK chart hits start to filter in more in this section! I never really clicked with Love Me Like You as much as I wanted to, it's still good but I don't feel the urge to return to it that much. Black Magic was much better and will be the second of two Little Mix appearances much later on! Austin Mahone makes a double appearance here, with the lower peaking song actually being the higher song here. Dirty Work was a fluke top 10 hit for sure, whereas Torture was a slower burner in my affections and if I were to listen to one right now, it'd be that. Sandwiched between them is OUSE *.* I expected to absolutely HATE the song based on that title but it became a guilty pleasure, partly due to the omission of the letter 'h' in 'house' :') A Charli XCX album track is at #226 followed by three UK top 20 hits. Ella Eyre has yet to top Comeback but Together was decent, and way better than the single that followed it (which doesn't appear in my top 250). Heartbeat Song has a terrible chart run but I rather enjoy listening to it these days so the run feels slightly unjust. Karen Harding's Say Something proved to be a grower after it not leaving much of an impression during BJSC, but I really enjoy it now! A Meghan Trainor album track and a Hunter Hayes promotional single round out the section.

PICK OF THE SECTION

Karan Harding *.* Jelly Clarkson *.* Ella Eyre *.* David Zowie *.* Little Mix *.* All really good, Love these so much
