November 29, 20159 yr I have to disagree with you on Dear Future Husband, Photograph and Black Magic, but the others are quite bad.
November 29, 20159 yr Author The Worst Song of 2015 the song was not actually released in 2015, but you get the idea http://utahvalley360.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Big-Bang-Theory-Crawl-in-hole-and-die.gif :winner: 01. Hozier - Take Me To Church :winner: http://alfa.gifs-planet.com/new/2506.gifhttp://alfa.gifs-planet.com/new/2506.gif MYSVMgRr6pw This ear rape actually was released over 2 years ago but it didn't peak until this year, and of course, it spent forever in the top 40 [45 weeks to be precise]. The song, firstly, is so offensively dull that it's difficult to guess how it became such a huge hit - and maybe if it kept #26 peak from this time last year I wouldn't be so harsh on it, but overplay obviously affects how much I dislike a song I never cared for in the first place. The thing that sets this apart from the other various borefests, other than it being in the chart forever, is his voice. Eurghhghfghhj. That voice is just so grating and an instant turn-off. I don't care that the lyrics are half-decent, I just can't listen to this song with that voice and the really slow paced feel of the song. Although I doubt I'd be a huge fan of a dancier cover of this either because the song clearly doesn't work in that way. Before I finish I should mention that whilst this easily takes the #1 this year, the hate chart #1s from the last 2 years ('Let It Go' and 'Just Give Me A Reason') are without question a lot worse than this. So YAY for that I guess, I don't want to think about the possibility of a song being WORSE than those 2 cropping up. Full top 10: 01 // Hozier - Take Me To Church 02 // Sam Smith - Lay Me Down (feat. John Legend) 03 // Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance 04 // Stereo Kicks - Love Me So 05 // Little Mix - Black Magic 06 // Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That 07 // Fall Out Boy - American Beauty/American Psycho 08 // Ed Sheeran - Photograph 09 // Meghan Trainor - Dear Future Husband 10 // 5 Seconds of Summer - She's Kinda Hot

November 29, 20159 yr Author Hey Mama one of the worst of the year? :( It's potentially David Guetta's best song, it'll be in a polar opposite position on my chart. It's so fierce and mad, I always just wanted to dance in my car when it was on.no @ your wrong opinion  it's definitely his worst song, I really don't get it. Hey Mama is fantastic, one of Guetta's best :( Hoping the 2 Little Mix Songs (especially Love Me Like You) and Jasy J don't make appearances :( Though at least the winner is going to be a worse song than last year, considering the 2nd best song of all time won last year :kink:Hey Mama is his worst imo, he's usually so much better. Well you got 2 thirds of your wish. Love Me Like You and Flashlight remain awful though. Don't you mean the worst song of all time won last year??? :P She's Kinda Hot was really bad, I don't even mind them and quite like a few tracks like Don't Stop/Good Girls but this just had no melody and stupid lyrics, it would probably be in my bottom 10 too. DFH is great for me, I appreciate the lyrics aren't great but I like the way she delivers them with sass and I like the colourfulness of the video too.I don't like any of their songs to be honest  I do like her sass in 'Lips Are Movin' but her other songs aren't that great. Dear Future Husband is fun, catchy and amazing and I also really like She's Kinda Hot  Photograph is so dull though! (and unfortunately going to make an appearance in my EOY chart as I charted it at like #39 for one week :kink:)Your EOY must be very long if it's gonna include every song that you charted  Both of those 2 'songs' are absolutely horrendous and both so deserving of their placings! Looking forward to attacking both of them in my thread soon, especially that crap at #7 here which is a big contender for worst song of the year! :puke2: :puke2:Finally you agree with me on something :teresa: You're just picking songs I like now  AB/AP was probably the worst track on the album so not sure why it was picked as single but it's still a nice track even though it's a bit annoying sometimes. WET is really cute and the lyrics towards the end are so sad, reminds me of Small Bump a bit in that aspect where the lyrics are so touching. The song is a bit repetitive but personally I think that adds to its charm. Photograph is gorgeous too and will be appearing in my EOY, I loved hearing it every week on the chart show, it just continued to grow on me.It's more than 'a bit' annoying  I get that the end of WET is sad and all but that doesn't stop me from disliking the song. I don't care if that makes me a heartless bitch. :P Photograph is just Dull :( At least the Felix Jaehn remix is listenable. I'll give you that Fall Out Boy song, it's dreadful, but the rest are great  Dreading the hate chart #1 :kink: Excited for the main countdown though!I knew you'd like most of my hate chart  just be glad 1D aren't on it this year :P I have to disagree with you on Dear Future Husband, Photograph and Black Magic, but the others are quite bad.at least we mostly agree! 01 // Hozier - Take Me To Church U WOT M8? 02 // Sam Smith - Lay Me Down (feat. John Legend) Agree with this, orginal was better 03 // Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance  this 04 // Stereo Kicks - Love Me So Only like them because of Tom Mann :kink: 05 // Little Mix - Black Magic  06 // Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That  07 // Fall Out Boy - American Beauty/American Psycho I presonally loved this  08 // Ed Sheeran - Photograph Really this is beautiful  09 // Meghan Trainor - Dear Future Husband Olly Murs you mean :kink: 10 // 5 Seconds of Summer - She's Kinda Hot01. it really is that bad tbh  02. yes the original was better, but still crap. 04. I don't know or care who that is lol 07. Don't you find it annoying? 08. Nah, just dull. imo. 09. :heehee: thanks guys for the comments so far!!
November 29, 20159 yr I had a feeling something good would be number one. Take Me To Church is fantastic. Still, at least Love Me Like You wasn't ever mentionned.
November 29, 20159 yr Black Magic :( So doesn't deserve to be on a hate chart! Take Me To Church isn't great but nothing too bad now it has gone away. That #2-#4 though, yay for them all appearing :cheer: All absolutely shockingly awful 'songs', especially puke me down (chart murderers version) :puke2:
November 30, 20159 yr I legit only hate numbers 2, 4, 6 and 8. Surprised "Drag Me Down" isn't on here given your boy band (punk rock band in the case of 5SOS) vendetta
November 30, 20159 yr :winner: 01. Hozier - Take Me To Church :winner: *BLASPHEMY ALERT* This song was founded by the great FSR Rontvia, the gall of you to try and tarnish their name and this amazing song, by painting over it with your hate brush. Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance *BLASPHEMY ALERT* This song was founded by the great FSR Rontvia, the gall of you to try and tarnish their name and this amazing song, by painting over it with your hate brush. WELL NO MORE DAN! 07. Fall Out Boy - American Beauty/American Psycho *BLASPHEMY ALERT* This song's random chart show play is generally accepted as one of the most iconic Chart Show moments in recent history (I mean yes, all the other singles from this album were a bit better, but I just don't think they would have provoked that same amazing reaction <3) (also swap the v fun 'Black Magic' with 'Love MEH Like You' and we're on the right path x)
November 30, 20159 yr Not a surprising #1 there :P 'Shut Up and Dance' is kinda like/hate imo, it's very goofy and irritating and tacky yet can't help but find it addictive  can't say I'm shocked it's amongst your hated songs though.. 'Wasn't Expecting That' sound nice musically but his VOICE is so damn boring  and it's just so repetitive. It did grow on me for a tincy bit but I'm back to finding it dull again  FOB however :puke: except for 'My Songs..' I've never been a fan of them and Patrick's voice goes right through me :( Edited November 30, 20159 yr by Rob's Grotto
November 30, 20159 yr Ha I actually like a lot of your hated list :kink: 4 of them were top 20's in my Chart. You do have the #1 absolutely SPOT ON though, something I would happily never ever hear again. Photography is the only other song I'd say I hate given its overexposure and just dullness. Love Me So and to a lesser extent Lay Me Down aren't either particularly exciting... the rest I'm fine with :P
November 30, 20159 yr Author I had a feeling something good would be number one. Take Me To Church is fantastic. That #2-#4 though, yay for them all appearing :cheer: All absolutely shockingly awful 'songs', especially puke me down (chart murderers version) :puke2:My hate chart is the perfect place for that song tbh. Such an overrated song. Hopefully I never have to hear TMTC again, although I imagine it'll get used in X Factor someday  At least you hate most of my top 5 :cheer: I legit only hate numbers 2, 4, 6 and 8. Surprised "Drag Me Down" isn't on here given your boy band (punk rock band in the case of 5SOS) vendetta'Drag Me Down' would probably be in my hate 20 if I did one. I've never been a fan of them and Patrick's voice goes right through me :(I take it you remember me moaning about it constantly in the chart show thread  I guess SUAD is a bit marmite, I just find it too annoying though. Definitely, it's such a bland vocal. Patrick's voice is certainly annoying on quite a few tracks. Ha I actually like a lot of your hated list :kink: 4 of them were top 20's in my Chart. You do have the #1 absolutely SPOT ON though, something I would happily never ever hear again. Photography is the only other song I'd say I hate given its overexposure and just dullness. Love Me So and to a lesser extent Lay Me Down aren't either particularly exciting... the rest I'm fine with :PBoo you and your wrong taste :( Although you really hate Take Me To Church so all is forgiven :cheer: Yep, I can't comprehend how Photograph was such a huge hit when the album had already sold millions and the song in question is seriously dull. Stereo Kicks aside, I actually like the rest of your most hated, oops :lol:Lol. Hopefully we agree on more things once we get to the lovechart thanks for the comments! :bounce:
November 30, 20159 yr So I like 7 out of your hate chart top 10, oops! I agree Lay Me Down was made a lot worse by the clashing voice of John Legend which made it pretty unlistenable but I could still listen to the original easily, it's one of his best songs I think. Maybe his worst ballad single out of the three but I'm a big fan of his voice - glad he got two #1s this year because they were both very good. Black Magic is fantastic, the definition of perfectly crafted pop song, the verses are instantly catchy, the chorus is banging, the video is one of their best and a lot of fun and it builds really nicely to some good ad-libs that I like singing along too - they've provided two of the best girlband singles ever this year which I'd never have predicted! Hate SU+D and Love Me So though, the former was cool for about a week but it got SO ANNOYING when it became everywhere for about five months, the All of Me/Happy of this year! Would maybe be top of my worst single 2015 :P
November 30, 20159 yr i concur with all 10 of those being amongst the very worst that 2015 has had to offer~ :puke:
December 4, 20159 yr Mostly agree with your op 10 hate chart of last year, apart from Steal My Girl which I kind of like :kink: in fact I often find myself liking oor loving most of 1D's singles but not their last few as they are kind of dull :/ I can't say I hate Hey Mama. I don't like that male voice either but calling a David Guetta song "nothing special" also shows that he's done a lot better than this... I quite like most of Union J's tracks but YGIA is quite boring so it's not that big a loss to here it here. lmao at its chart run though  "She's Kinda Hot" - agreed. Boring and no redeemable qualities from moi  Kind of like Dear Future Husband but it might be because of its comparability to Olly Murs Dance With Me Tonight which is a fab song (idk if you like that?) I also kind of don't like it at the same time because of it being a sort of ripoff of the song  Photograph another boring Ed Sheeran track :( it's a shame he can't go back to songs from Plus like The A Team, Lego House and Small Bump. I really love Afire Love from the album though. Why the feck didn't he release it? :banghead: You should of mentioned the Felix Jaehn remix of it which is such a tune :music: I've not had to misfortune to hear that FOB song :D I'm not a big fan of them or that kind of music anyway though. I don't actually mind Wasn't Expecting That :o (were you expecting this? :basil:) an example of a song I wasn't expecting to end up liking  I'm a fairly big LM fan and I like Black Magic :kink: it isn't their best and something else from them should have been #1. Definitely very overrated on the chart :/ Not heard Love Me So by I think Shut Up And Dance is a tune! Lay Me Down deffo deserving a place here but Take Me to Church is #1? :( ok, I wasn't keen on it for ages but it ended up being a grower eventually :o It is rather overrated though also.
December 5, 20159 yr Author Albums Of The Year brought to you by Penny Hofstadter Here's how it works, I don't listen to enough albums to make a big chart about it, so there will be as many contenders as I like and then one album will be crowned Album Of The Year. Here are the previous recipients of this prestigious award, the 2010 of which has been given retroactively as I did not do this segment in my EOY thread then: 2010 - deadmau5 ~ 4x4=12 2011 - Nero ~ Welcome Reality 2012 - Calvin Harris ~ 18 Months 2013 - Avicii ~ True 2014 - Calvin Harris ~ Motion 2015 - ???? Here are my Albums "Chart" #1s, some of which will be AOTY contenders. However, as always, compilations will not be included in AOTY. It was released around the same time as Hardwell's long awaited (by me) debut, but this stopped it from going to #1 in my chart! Very impressive that of course. Onto the album itself though, it has a great mix of trance and downbeat/chill, as well as a great mix of lyrical themes. Highlights include the title track 'We're All We Need', a great uplifting song with a classic euphoric trance synth in the chorus and beautiful vocals from Zoe Johnston who sings quite a few songs on the album. This includes other favourite 'Fly To New York' which is another great trance song although with a hint of sadness this time as she sings about her dream that seems obvious that won't become reality. Other than the songs that have made my personal chart, 'Blue Sky Action', 'Counting Down The Days' and 'Making Plans' are also great. BSA is another uplifting trance tune, CDTD is more progressive trance and MP is a beautifully sad downbeat track. It does make me sad that there's not enough great proper trance songs by other artists, even Armin van Buuren has turned more to progressive house recently. It seems unlikely that A&B will go in a more commercial direction anyway, although sadly it seems they take long breaks between albums so it could be a while before we see them in Albums Of The Year again if their next album is of a similar standard.

Her brand of joyous dance music is a real winning formula with me, with great songs like her lead-artist #1s 'Hold My Hand' and 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself' both of which are good contenders for my Hot 100. However she proves that her voice works on songs that aren't in the dance genre, like her current single 'Take Me Home' which she has an great vocal on, you really can feel her emotion on it. If only she was that good live (although I didn't think her X Factor performance was as bad as some online made out to be). Her re-working of Route 94 smash 'My Love' is also another highlight, it really works stripped back with just her and the piano. There are some good album tracks here too, 'Gave Me Something' and 'Ain't Got Far To Go' in particular. Unfortunately though 'Saddest Vanilla' exists. What was she thinking with those lyrics in the chorus?? My only other real criticism of this is that there aren't enough dance songs in it!!1 but thankfully her pop songs are nice to listen to and not boring (except Saddest Vanilla)
December 6, 20159 yr Above & Beyond! All Over The World is a tune :music: Jess Glynne is my #3 album this year, it's just not quite as good as Ella Eyre's :D
