'Photograph' for me was delightful backed with an accompanying video of montage pictures of him as a child growing up right through to now. It's a heartwarmer for me but unfortunetly the song didn't make my top 10 but with an impressive run of 16 weeks in my chart it earns the award for the highest placing song in my chart without reaching the top 10. This is Ed's last of two appearances in my chart this year compared to the 3 last year. #31 is the returning single from Lawson. Not exactly their best song but it was a decent enough song to comeback with and they have done so well in my EOY charts having 5 songs reach the top 30, this one obviously just misses the cut. Sadly after going in at #11 officially it looks like the boys may have dipped into irrelevance already as we've heard nothing by them ever since this song! P.S. I understand these two aren't exactly buzzjack favourites so my apologies :P

She's extremely underrated, who can't not enjoy those husky, raw, sassy vocals? The sad thing is official charts wise she's only managed to get top 10 hits as part of features on other artists hits :( 29 comes from Swedish songwriter Tove Lo, she already featured on 'Heroes' further down the countdown but manages to sneak a higher position with one of her own efforts 'Talking Body' which for me is the only track to grab my attention  Marlon Roudette's excellent 'When The Beat Drops out' comes in after at 28 on the countdown!

I haven't really said enough about how talented she is (LOON MODE IN CHECK) and I really REALLY hope this isn't the end of her already when she has so much potential  Demi Lovato is feeling 'Confident' next at 24. Demi is someone who's really grown on me the past few years ever since 'Skyscraper' (yes I know it's hated amongst lots of you x) came out. She really been on fire this year though scoring 3 top 50 in my EOY countdown. Good going right? CFTS is still on it's way! Oh hey, Taylor's back again with 'Blank Space', this song for most of the first part of the year was top 5 in my EOY bu of course drifted apart towards the latter part of the year. It's still such a great pop song and Taylor's videos this year and last have been nothing short of amazing. Long may Taylor slay everyone!

They are 5 piece from Canada. You might recognize them from doing tribute versions of big hits, Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' being a prime example... however I checked those out and they weren't very good or anything nor have their other tracks for that matter. This song however caught my eye earlier when I was searching for not well known songs to chart and this popped up and it hit me instantly. A catchy indie ska reggae alternative rock song that did ok in their home country reaching a peak of #22 which is so odd because here they are at #22 on my EOY countdown lol :o The song amassed three weeks at #1 in my chart back in April only to toppled by Meg Myers's 'Sorry' which is yet to come and is contending for 1 in my EOY Chart :P Taylor really knows how to slay my countdown just like she loves to slay everyone's existence with her fab pop tracks, 'Style' comes in at #21. Another really good song off the superb 1989!
December 29, 20159 yr Ed Sheeran, Lawson, Ella Eyre, Tove Lo, Kygo, Little Mix, Demi and Taylor all really good songs

It's very experimental of Delta and I think it has definitely paid off. The song topped the charts in her home nation Australia in August but sadly hasn't made any impression in the British charts, not suprising in the slightest as her days of success over here are long gone. Still it would've been nice for this to have some impact! Kelly's return single 'Heartbeat Song' spent two weeks atop of my chart back in January but didn't exactly hold up too well in comparison to her other songs chart run. To be honest it's just an ok but a bit average type song. It's a lovely hearing it on radio n all but I dunno I was expecting something killler from Kelly and she sorta just dissapointed me I guess. It did well enough to come top 20 in my EOY chart though but not a song I'd personally go back to a lot!

This is Sia's only other official top 40 hit along with 'Chandelier' from recent times. Jess Glynne wants us to 'Hold Her Hand' at #17. Well done to Jess for getting her highest position this year with this despite the #10 peak. Madge fell at the Brits.... she's turning into OLDONNA  anyway joking aside, 'Living For Love' premiered around a year ago and still to do this day sounds wonderful. The song unfortunately stalled in Jan when it was a surefire number 1 in my chart until Kelly came back and stole the #1 from her! Edited December 29, 20159 yr by Rob S~

Wasn't expecting Echosmith OR Maroon 5 in your top 15 but I'm very excited to see them so high :o

She proved this year officially that she's no longer a one hit wonder unlike another act from the same year *coughs Gotye cough*. This countdown is solely based on chart run and peaks etc so I think if it do any overall review of how I feel about all these songs this would possibly come a bit lower down however it's 3 week stint at the top spot ensures it gets a high position here. Echosmith broke the one hit wonder surefire curse at least on my chart with 'Come Together' and no it's not a Beatles cover :P Coming in at 12 is BBC Sounds of Music winners Years and Years with 'Shine', it's fair to say this connected with more instantly than 'King' did however the latter is still to come.

Even John's warbling doesn't put me off it either lmao!

'King' took a long time to click for me. When it came to it's release week I recall even saying it's overrated purely because it still hadn't hit me and everyone was hyping it up so highly but eventually it did click and now I love it. The chorus and the electronic feels are so earwormy and catchy that I find myself struggling to understand why I didn't enjoy it from the get go but then again most songs grow on me to love them in the end I guess! By far the hottest video I've seen all year anything of Tinashes or Pia's Touch being the others) and it comes courtesy of Demi Lovato. 'Cool For The Summer' is so trashy and awful yet there's something really good about it that I love it overall. The song is about experimenting primarily! Edited December 31, 20159 yr by Rob S~

Meg Myers' 'Sorry' is so raw, authentic and captivating not to forget brilliant. I kinda kick myself for not joining the contests a bit earlier but it was witnessing this song win the contest back in May that made me finally sign up for BJSC (p.s. would've taken it had Mikey not had it ;) ) 'Uptown Funk' was already starting to blow up at the end of last year and it even made it to #1 on my chart as well as obviously topping it officially. The song maanged to reach 45 in my EOY chart last year but because of it's continued domination both in my chart and the official chart as well as everywhere it did phenomenally well to break into my top 10 of 2015 added to the fact it spent an incredible 23 weeks top 40! Dance with saxphones seems to be very popular atm and when I heard this for the first time there was no doubt I'd not love it, she's a gorgeous girl as well. Sandra Lyng who hails all the way from Norway smashed into my charts around the Summer with this sublime tune 'Play My Drum' topping the chart for 3 weeks . She came close to having 2 songs in my top 100 but sadly 'Heels Off' whilst good kinda tailed off my chart pretty fast. It wasn't as good as this song is though so maybe that's why. The video is excellent too. Love the beach scenes in it etc! Edited December 31, 20159 yr by Rob S~
December 31, 20159 yr Hi Rob I wasn't so keen on King either to begin with so I'm with you on that one. His voice really grew on me over time though and made me like the song, all the synths are glorious too. I liked the delicacy of Shine/Eyes Shut more though so glad to see the former not far behind. LIGLY is definitely one of the biggest growers this year, sounds a bit boring on first listen but it really gets into your head which is quite unusual for a ballad I suppose. Could've done without John Legend though. IRLY was just so much fun, never expected for Carly to come back with something half as good as that but I was hooked on the chorus from first listen, loved it even more when the incredibly fun and Tom Hanks-y video came out *_* So glad it became a hit here! Shame about RAWM though.
