We're also looking at possible climbs for Mariah Carey, Sigma, The Pogues, Years & Years and Wham! On albums we have possible top 20 entries from Fleur East, Troye Sivan as well as Sigma. The biggest release is of course Coldplay, who battle it out for the number 1 album spot with the seemingly unstoppable Adele as she goes into her third week. December 5, 201510 yr Author Coldplay have sold over 100,000 albums in one day!Fleur East hasn’t. She’s at 5. Troye Sivan at 15 (it’s better than that, come on people). That Rita Ora XFactor performance has helped power the Sigma album in at 32.Oooh, look at Sigala about to knock Justin Bieber off the top of the singles hit parade. Actually, the Sigma/Rita single is at 6 so I take that back.

December 5, 201510 yr I think people are really over estimating Coldplay. The sales climate has continued to decline and Adele is the only act to break 100k this year I believe. If they do 130k they will be doing really well in my opinion. :D

I know lots of that would be pre-orders, but even if they sold 35k a day from today, it takes them to 310k.

It's not SO EASY to sell 35K per day now on.. They are very fronloaded those days.. and They don't have a big promo this week or a big hit in their hands, for now. I wish.. I'm a huge fan of theirs and the album but still... I can't see them winning this.

I am not saying they'll win either, but I do think 300k is possible considering Coldplay still have massive casual appeal, stadium tour, superbowl, etc. And Saturday is a big selling day especially this time of the year. I can see Adele doing 400k though.
December 5, 201510 yr I agree that they're still not a contender for #1. They were always going to be top in the first update, but whilst Adele will continue to sell a crapload physically, they will decline rapidly in comparison to how she will hold up. They should debut at #1 on the digital chart, though.
