Anyway, it's his debut album and it's greattt. Definitely check it out if you like Drake/The Weeknd/Kendrick. 502 Come Up is absolute fire especially. One of the songs of the year for sure.
December 12, 20159 yr Listened to this album earlier today. Pleasantly surprised! Had no idea what to expect, but really like it. 'Don't' is great & of course 'Exchange' too!
December 12, 20159 yr Listened to this a few weeks ago, but not sure I'll ever return to it much. I like "Don't" (esp. when it interpolates Mariah's "Shake It Off" *.*) and I think I'll just stick to that; the rest felt kind of samey to me.
December 12, 20159 yr I considered "Don't" for BJSC at one point so I should probably get to listening to the rest of the album :D
December 12, 20159 yr Been an album I've been meaning to download for a good while now. Will get to it after this weekend of revision is over
December 20, 20159 yr Don't buy many albums, but seriously considering getting this... Never has an album title so accurately reflected the genre of an album too. The trap-soul sound is popular right now with artists such as Bryson Tiller and others including Tory Lanez and PARTYNEXTDOOR. Clear influences from Drake and The Weeknd I think. Don't has been the smash single so far. Very good and already a top 20 hit in America. Sorry Not Sorry already has a video so that may be pushed soon, especially with the Timbaland production. Exchange is the potentially huge one though - very similar to 'Take Care' and already being talked about lots. Also my personal favourite from the album!
December 24, 20159 yr Listening to this, its really good. All of his songs are like a slightly improved version of a Tyga and Chris Brown collab.
December 24, 20159 yr "Lord please save her for me, Do this one favour for me..." This line from 'Exchange' has really connected with people. Personally, the whole first verse feels so powerful for me.
March 4, 20169 yr finally got round to listening to this around three months after i said i would this is such a massively assured debut, brimming with confidence and intent at every turn. hard for me to pick favourites at this stage but maybe 'exchange' and '502 come up' stand out the most? i have a feeling i am going to be returning to this regularly though and will be getting new and different things from all the tracks at some stage.
March 4, 20169 yr Think they're shooting the video for Exchange... logical choice for second single (and the best on the album).
March 17, 20169 yr The album is really great. I feel that this might be like some kind of new wave of R&B. Definitely looking for to smth new from him. Can anybody advice smth similar?
