Makes me wonder if Reggie & Boille could have sold more with a a reggae version of Forever Young

I honestly think it'd take a miracle for their version to have gone top 10  Potentially not even top 20 lol. Louisa's doing much better in comparison (although still way too poorly for a great song :()

Could this sort of decline for the XF winner have happened when it's not an actual marketable popstar? :drama: It's a shame her name is going to be attached to this and she'll be known as the first XF winner to miss the number 1 with their winner's single. It's frustrating coz she's my fave contestant since Little Mix! I know it probably won't but really hope it won't hinder her success as an artist when her debut is released. It's just a shame her name will be attached to this.

Edit: although the general consensus seems to be that she is farrr better than this song, so she should be fine but I hope this doesn't get Simon worried and make her rush release an album full of covers!

At this point calling her a marketable popstar is a huge huge stretch when she isn't selling what Sam Bailey and co did, she cant be that marketable.

Yeah, Reggie & Bollie would've bombed even harder! The Voice 2015 coming for a bigger winners single than X Factor? :o

Only about 6 million people watched the final though right? Plus the song is piss poor. It's a shame but it's not really down to Louisa that it's done badly.

I like the song, I'm not sure why it isn't doing better when Adele the queen of ballards is dominating the charts and imo Louisa has just a good a voice as Adele's

Simple - Hello is a great song, FY is shit

The Sunday part of the final had 8m+ viewers (in which she performed the winners song) and all winners songs are crap really.

The thing is Louisa looks marketable on the surface and she was pretty much picked to win from the get go but I don't think she ever really connected that well with the public, she was really the only viable choice. No gorgeous guys who could hoover up votes (Cardle, Ben, Joe, Shayne), an unlikable girl group, a foreign girl group, a joke act who would always fall at the last hurdle with the winners single picked, a guy dressed in women's clothes, a guy who came into the lives as public enemy #1 and overs that Simon took glee in making sure they wouldn't be competition.

I get why they wanted a young pretty girl like Louisa winning but she just doesn't have any real personality and whilst she has a good voice it isn't exceptional. In any other year she would have been your Amelia Lily a solid 3rd place.

I agree and to me she isn't very personable.

Agree entirely. The show is declining but this is about Louisa too imo. They should stop over hyping people too. Simon saying she may be the best ever on the show is just laughable. It puts people off. She pretty much has one key and that's shout.

I feel bad for Louisa. Hope she doesn't get dropped right off the bat for this stupid winner song.

They really botched this release from the moment they chose the song.

I really hope Simon doesn't just toss her to the side now and not give her/ her album/ real single a push when the time comes but I can really just see him tossing her to the side now with little to no effort.

A damn shame. She could have had some decent success with her look/ voice.

Had they of picked a better song, put it on sale as soon as the show ended, and given her a full week of sales, she may have stood a better chance.

Maybe her promo tomorrow will help a bit?

Does anyone know how many physicals she is selling?

The Nation's Favourite Bond Theme effect

048. Sam Smith - Writing's on the Wall (also #183)

090. Adele - Skyfall

412. Louis Armstrong - We Have All the Time in the World

727. Carly Simon - Nobody Does It Better (also #987, #1253)

903. Chris Cornell - You Know My Name (also #1410)

992. Gladys Knight - Licence to Kill

999. Duran Duran - A View to a Kill

1134. Jack White & Alicia Keys - Another Way to Die

1306. Wings - Live & Let Die

Didn't realise Louis Armstrongs classic was a Bond theme - Live and Let Die so low and Adele winning again lol.

Poor brave Jack White and Alicia Keys so underrated.

She won't get dropped right off the bat. She's got a contract for an album.

If we had sales, they would be posted in the Friday Chart Predictions thread.
