Hello.

Some good BJSC appearing here as expected, particularly 'We Have To Talk', 'Wolf'. 'Hush' and 'Tidal Wave'!

Brilliant to see 'Coffee', 'BURNITUP!' and 'Miss U' <3 all to be featured well on the Haus EOY too *,* Tove Lo woop, even though you hated her this time last year :cheer:

Going to be checking this religiously now I know it exists :kink: Should be a lot of good stuff to come ~ (until it inevitably stops before the top 100 and remains forever incomplete )

I'm always a fan on good BJSC -_- It was only Talking Body and that was more 'average' than hated! I loved the Habits/Stay High combo way before that! I will prove to you that this will finish!

#101 - Florence & The Machine 'What Kind Of Man'

Here are the poor unfortunate souls that just missed out on the top 100 and some basic commentary! I had to feature the video for Delta Heavy 'Ghost' somewhere in this countdown as it really is incredible and elevates the appeal of the song! As per quite a lot of this countdown there is plenty of BJSC to be found alongside the chart hits but the sole Eurovision entry, Knez's 'Adio' has been the biggest grower since the contest! FloMach misses out on her only chance at the top 100 with the brilliant What Kind Of Man, even if it does pale in comparison to the singles from the first two albums!

The top 100 from now on will be in more detail with five songs per post and will resume after Christmas (and once I've finalised the order!) so merry xmas for now!

Good inclusions so far, including....Yeasayer :o? old track but a classic. Grimes, Neon Indian, Sophie and Kendrick too <3
'Good For You' is my big favourite of the last set. Agree with your stance on 'What Kind of Man', very good but not quite up there with hr previous stuff. Bring on the top 100 B-)

#100-#96

#100 - Dawn Richard 'Tide: The Paradox Effect'

#99 - Mura Masa feat. Nao 'Firefly'

#98 - Rationale 'Fuel To The Fire'

#97 - Francesco Yates 'When I Found You'

#96 - DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge 'You Know You Like It'

Welcome to the business end of this countdown! First up we have another great BJSC entry with a stunning video from Dawn Richard! Love the spacey feel which is conveyed through both the visuals and the audio and it was a standout entry from it's contest, unfortunately I haven't listened to this as much as some of the other songs throughout the rest of the year but it deserves it's place in the top 100 (just about!).

Next up is my second favourite Mura Masa song of the year *spoilers* and also the second song of theirs I've heard! This would've made a cracking BJSC entry (and probably successful too, poor brave Lovesick f**ck). Big fan of the cutesy vocals and all the quirky instruments in the background!

At #98 is the epic 'Fuel To The Fire', that voice won my heart straight away and I certainly would've rewarded this well in BJSC had I competed in that contest and it definitely is a worthy winner! This was heading towards the top 50 this time a month ago but sadly it's tired on me quite a bit but hoping I can fall back in love with it in 2016! Hoping to see more of this side of Mulgracia :P

Now we come to the first of my BJSC entries to appear in the top 100, the lovely Francesco Yates  He became the second artist to have two songs entered by me after the fab Paulina Rubio back in 2012! After the innocent sweet Call, When I Found You takes on a more swag sultry vibe which I totally digged. I was gutted when this flopped in 34th place after some top 10 predictions and my honest belief that it would better the position of Call. Like some of the other songs in this section it has suffered a bit since my initial love for it but it's still a quality tune and certainly is up there with Call!

Finally is the song that feels like it's been around forever, yet is still a potential upcoming hit in the UK for 2016, it's You Know You Like It! Think I first heard the original back in 2011 and the new DJ Snake mix was released this time last year yet it's been an incredibly slow burner! This never reached a peak in my interest in 2015 but has always been in good books so it's racked up quite a play count! Bit of a creepy video but I'm hoping it can do something in the UK next year after it's international success in 2015!

Hi Klum,

Here is what I like in the latest section.

#100-#96

#99 - Mura Masa feat. Nao 'Firefly' - I can see why both are predicted to high things

#98 - Rationale 'Fuel To The Fire'

#96 - DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge 'You Know You Like It' So wish this was a hit

#95-#91

#95 - Christine & The Queens 'Christine'

#94 - Cashmere Cat feat. Ariana Grande 'Adore'

#93 - Taylor Swift feat. Kendrick Lamar 'Bad Blood'

#92 - Robin Schulz feat. Francesco Yates 'Sugar'

#91 - XYConstant feat. Tom Aspaul 'Do It Well'

Kicking off this section we have the first of two Christine & The Queens entries! I fear Christine has been overshadowed a bit by 'the other one' and probably would've finished higher otherwise but it's still a really nice chilled song and she's a funky lady and who dislikes a Christine?

Next up is totally awesome Cashmere Cat and infamous doughnut licker Ariana Grande on a track that's different for her! Would love to see more of this 'alt R&B' side to her as the whole package just works so well, not the most memorable songs so maybe not a hit but I know if she went down this route with her own stuff it could do so so well!

Taylor definitely cemented her position as 2015's queen of pop with this video/remix combination. I see this as Taylor's equivalent to Katy's E.T. with the different sound and rapper/remix combo. I reckon had this been released 3/4 years ago it would've been firmly in my top 10 of the EOY but alas it is not 2011. There's something about Taylor which I just can't connect with despite the top quality songs she's putting out (bar Style <_<)

At #92 is hit of the moment (sort of) Robin Schulz with my fave Francesco Yates, hoping this can do big things in 2016 but I fear it's time might have already passed. I love how it's chilled yet such an earworm and it's one of those songs which still hasn't tired on me! Think this is very narrowly my fave Francesco song and my second favourite Schulz song after 2014's Prayer In C!

Ramrynia did it well with this one! Despite Ryan hopping on yet another bandwagon (:P) he did find a gem of a song! This was one of BJSC potentials towards the year so I'm gutted I didn't get a chance to enter it but I reckon I didn't too badly with what I sent instead! Hoping for more of this and less of Phoebe Ryan in the next year!

#90-#86

#90 - Troye Sivan 'Wild'

#89 - Sam Feldt 'Show Me Love'

#88 - Mura Masa 'Lovesick f**k'

#87 - Oh Wonder 'Livewire'

#86 - Dr. Kucho! & Gregor Salto feat. Ane Brun 'Can't Stop Playing (Makes Me High) (Oliver Heldens Remix)

First up is a song I didn't particularly think much of on first listen, but then it starting driving me wi-i-ild B-) I knew of Troye Sivan through his Youtube channel but didn't watch his videos regularly, so I was surprised that he came out with such a cool song that isn't just made for fanbase buys! It's fairly simple song but it's done so well and something that I don't think has reached it's full potential for me yet! So happy to see Radio 1 have been supporting him and was a little surprised he wasn't on the Sound of 2016 longlist but hey-ho!

Some of you will like me for this inclusion, most of you will probably hate me but whatever. It's the ever so controversial Sam Feldt! Yes it was a cheap BJSC entry so boo you John but the song itself was a great UK chart hit and certainly tops some of the other tropical house covers we've had this year! This is such a good 'last song of the night' kinda song and yes it does sound good at 3am! It's weird how the EDX remix became Capital's choice as I've probably heard that just as much as the original now so this #89 is for both original and remix!

Onto another 'too cool for words' song from Mura Masa, my fave of the three singles released this year and the first of their's I'd heard! Still so gutted this DNQd for Syndare and I don't get why either? The instrumental is everything and the vocals accompany this very nicely. V. Shoreditch

Oh Wonder are a band I really want to do big things soon! The male/female duo vocals work so well and this is their best song for me. Livewire is such a good song to destress you and is ultimately a brilliant pop song. Subtle yet interesting, I really need to delve further into their discography!

Finally is a song I actually strongly disliked upon the first listen, partially for the unusual vocals, and partially for the annoying long title! Essentially single #3 for Oliver Heldens, it's an undeniable banger that seemed to come out of nowhere and probably will be forgotten in a couple years but oh well! I'm sure those other artists on this track will never see the light of day again  Does anyone else on Buzzjack bar Danethan and Bray like this?

#95-#91

f*** you :cheer: (seriously you don't need to like it BUT STOP BASHING IT AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY omg )

'WILD' <3 Give the album a listen if you can, it's bloomin' brilliant :music: Shocked he's not on the 2016 longlist too now you mention it :o

Hi Klum,

#95 - Christine & The Queens 'Christine'

#93 - Taylor Swift feat. Kendrick Lamar 'Bad Blood'

#92 - Robin Schulz feat. Francesco Yates 'Sugar'

#91 - XYConstant feat. Tom Aspaul 'Do It Well'

#90 - Troye Sivan 'Wild'

#86 - Dr. Kucho! & Gregor Salto feat. Ane Brun 'Can't Stop Playing (Makes Me High) (Oliver Heldens Remix)

Christine - Recently heard this I like it

Bad Blood - My personal fave of the era

Sugar - Okay not the best thing I have heard but not bad

Do It Well - Prefer Sliverlined

Wild - I do really like this still just wasnt a massive hit

Lovesick F**k - Do like this although he has better songs

Livewire - Their album is good

Can't Stop Playing - I did like this a lot :D

Hi Klum

Glad to see someone else have Dr Kucho in there EOY. I feel like the only person who likes the vocals though, they add to the song imo, makes it more interesting. Heldens made another banger, it has that high-energy feeling to it like Gecko which I love.

#85-#81

#85 - Enrique Iglesias feat. Sean Paul 'Bailando (Matoma Remix)'

#84 - Major Lazer feat. Sean Paul 'Come On To Me'

#83 - Aminata 'Love Injected'

#82 - MNEK & Zara Larsson 'Never Forget You'

#81 - Electro Velvet 'Still In Love With You'

Double Sean Paul & Double Eurovision *.*

I'm not actually sure how the original goes but the Matoma remix has become a mainstay in my music library in 2015! So brilliant, so European and so summery! It's such an easy listen along with the sensual Latin guitars and sexy sax and how I wish this had been big in the UK as this is pop done so well!

The first of many Major Lazer entries in which they made it big in the mainstream as well as my own tastes! The Lazer/Sean Paul combo was never going to wrong and they certainly delivered with 'Come On To Me'! Wish they'd pushed more of the crazier songs like this rather than the wet 'Powerful' :(

Time for the first of the Eurovision entries in 2015. If you had said to me at the beginning of 2015 that a Latvian entry would make my EOY top 100 and top ten in the grand final I would have scoffed at you! Dubbed the Latvian FKA Twigs, Aminata really offered something different and 'credible' to the Euro stage and it certainly won over some of the Eurovision haters out there, the staging was just as captivating as the song and despite the quality of the song, it was such a welcome surprise it did as well as 6th place with a hefty points total!

Award for the longest time to grow on me goes to MNEK & Zara Larsson! At first I wasn't a fan to the quite cheap production values (imo) and the constant comparisons to the superior Where Are U Now (*spoilers*) I no longer hold that opinion and have allowed the song to grow on me in it's own right. Quite a surprise hit in the UK along with being the only example of OA/OS success for unknown artists (still don't know how it happened!), love the way this track builds and builds and the last minute is glorious. I'm probably not as crazy about it as the majority of Buzzjack but it has left me wanting more from both Zara and MNEK!

The groundbreaking UK entry that inspired the likes of Caravan Palace :') it's good old Electro Velvet. Objectively, yes it is awful but I was such a massive fan of this in the buildup to Eurovision! Unfortunately it didn't work in the grand final only gaining 5 points the entire night but I have so much ironicish love to give this  I like what the UK were going for in this but once it came to Eurovision week it became fairly obvious what we were in store for :( Oh well, I'm still in love with you Electro Velvet!

Edited by Klumzee

Not enough love for WILD  What a sensational song! Troye is a shining star in the music industry right now for me and the fact he's kinda going under the radar is quite sad to see.

Electro Velvet...opposite end of the spectrum entirely :kink: Lots of goodness in here though Patrick! :D

#80-#76

#80 - Justin Bieber 'What Do You Mean?'

#79 - Pia Mia feat. Chris Brown & Tyga 'Do It Again'

#78 - James Bay 'Hold Back The River'

#77 - Lo-Fi-Fnk 'Nightclub Nirvana'

#76 - One More Time 'Highland'

The song that kickstarted Bieber Fever <3 SO f***ING REPETITIVE YET SO GOOD? It really stood out when it was released back in August as a maturer sound from Biebs that was different to what everyone else was offering. The fact that it's still in the UK top 5 is absolutely crazy. Not the biggest fan of the video but I can deal.

Pia Mia's success does seem a bit forced due to her links to the Kardashians and the big name features on her debut single, but somehow it's an absolute jam! Still growing on me to this day, so simple yet so effective and one of the pop highlights of 2015 for me, even Chris Brown & Tyga make worthy contributions on this!

It still surprises me how much Hold Back The River has sold this year as it's never on the radio or talked about anymore! Yes James Bay doesn't really offer anything new in terms of male singer/songwriter style and this could well be a James Morrison comeback but who cares it's a good song! The 'lonely water' part totally makes this song and elevates it from a 7/10 to 9/9.5 out of 10 material. This is his first of two songs to appear in the top 100 :o

Now we come to Sandeborg's second moment of genius/glory in BJSC it's Lo-Fi-Fnk! It's funny that I had 'Escapade' by the same band as my backup for the very same contest this was sent to, yet that's nowhere to be seen in this chart! From start to finish it's a total joy to listen to thanks to it's upbeat sparkly nature  Slightly disappointed this only just scraped the top 10 when it deserved at least top five in that contest!

Last of all it's my 18 from the most recent contest! Yes it is slightly lower due to it's newness to me but I think this will stick around as a fave of mine! Anything that sounds remotely like ABBA is a hit with me and FSR Rontvia knew how to bring it! Can't say no to a bagpipe solo also <3

Edited by Klumzee

Yass Highland *.* Lol at Electro Velvet popping up in another chart too! Much love for Mura Masa <3

Hi Klum,

#81 - Electro Velvet 'Still In Love With You'

#85 - Enrique Iglesias feat. Sean Paul 'Bailando (Matoma Remix)'

#79 - Pia Mia feat. Chris Brown & Tyga 'Do It Again'

#78 - James Bay 'Hold Back The River'

I Like all of these espically James Bay and MNEK
