I have a big feeling streaming has been missed this week. Black Magic did well with Gift Cards, but was like #70-90 on Spotify and NHS wouldn't be this high.

so what are they gonna do? play LMLY again in its right place?? :D

I actually expected A Bridge Over You to be lower.

A deserved fall for a such a brutal murder of two classics.

terrible mashup that doesn't work at all
To think dropping "only" 28 places is actually impressive compared to what most of us were expecting! I'm glad this gets another chart show play, I don't mind the song though it wasn't my preference for Christmas #1.

Yeah I know we haven't had mids but some of these seem very off so far.

Though Mariah is top 40...Surely she wouldn't be top 40 without streaming. Confused tbh.

Biography

Rock City, also known as R. City and Planet VI, is an American musical duo formed in 2003, from Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The duo, composed of brothers Theron and Timothy Thomas, who use the stage names, A.I. and Uptown AP respectively, are also a songwriting and record production team. The Thomas brothers are perhaps best known for writing and producing hit singles for several prominent artists, including Sean Kingston ("Take You There"), Miley Cyrus ("We Can't Stop"), Nicki Minaj ("Only") and Rihanna ("Pour It Up"), among others.

The duo has also contributed to numerous Grammy-nominated albums including Rihanna's Unapologetic (which won Best Urban Contemporary Album), Jennifer Hudson's self-titled album (which won Best R&B Album), and Ariana Grande's My Everything (which was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album).

Rock City also releases original music, having released several mixtapes since 2008. The group had previously been signed to Geffen Records and KonLive, where they released a series of mixtapes with the primary title, PTFAO (Put the F*ckin' Album Out)—a reference to the fact that their debut album Wake the Neighbors, had not been given a release date. In 2011, the duo was released from their contract with KonLive, and founded Rebelution Records, on which they intended to release their debut album. A new album, What Dreams Are Made Of, is due to be released in 2015, after being signed to Kemosabe Records and RCA Records by Dr. Luke. - Wikipedia

Did this actually drop out? I swear I didn't even notice. That's how forgettable this is.
How a lot of these songs re-entered when a lot of them are lacking streaming?
so from now on they're not gonna countdown 31-40 anymore? :( dislikes!!!!!!
Gift Card effect evidently been underestimated by the loons...

That's right. Streams from Xmas Day count to this chart which is why she's still there. Glad to see "Shut Up + Dance" back in though

Shut Up And Dance sounds great again now that I've had a rest from it.
Oh yes! Shut Up And Dance was number 1 in my chart last year and I still love it!

Locked Away had my favorite chart run of 2015, climbing to #2 and spending a month top 3, but then dropping out relatively faster than other hits. 14-ish weeks top 40 is just about right for me.

YAY Shut Up And Dance, two of my faves from last year back to back

Biography

Walk the Moon (often stylized as WALK THE MOON) is an American Indie rock band based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lead singer Nicholas Petricca started the band in 2008 and went through several member changes before finally coming together with current members Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman in 2010. The band derives their name from the song "Walking on the Moon" by The Police. The group independently released their debut album, I Want! I Want!, in November 2010, receiving airplay for the track "Anna Sun" on multiple Alternative radio stations. In February 2011, Walk the Moon signed with Mick Management. They signed to RCA Records and released their first major label album, their second overall, the self-titled Walk the Moon, in June 2012. It is composed of many of their original tracks from I Want! I Want! as well as new tracks that were written specifically for the album and were meant to reflect the kind of energy the band produced in their live shows. In December 2014, the band released their second major-label studio album, Talking Is Hard. This album included their biggest hit to date, "Shut Up and Dance," which has so far charted at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached number 1 on Billboard's Rock Songs chart and Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.

SPIN Magazine has described them as a "poppy, art-rock quartet". They were also deemed a Nylon Magazine Band Crush for their "swirly pop beats, infectious guitar riffs, and loud, sing-a-long choruses." - Wikipedia
