Difficult to answer really. The original "GH1" has sold 417,100 this decade but sales of the boxset GH1/2/3 are split in third and added to the GH1 and I've no idea how much that has sold :(

Thanks! That's alright, it was the first figure I was after really! I guess that will be Top 100 by the end of the decade too if it's roughly on track for 700k+.

80. DO YOU WANT THE TRUTH OR SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL- Paloma Faith (42-64-73-63-67-80) 606,700 (T/S 736,800)

79. THE GIFT- Susan Boyle (13-32-40-55-65-79) 613,100

78. ONLY BY THE NIGHT- Kings Of Leon (31-44-50-60-66-78) 614,400 (T/S 2,874,600)

77. GHOST STORIES- Coldplay (77-77) 615,500

76. FOUR- One Direction (92-76) 616,000

No longer Paloma Faith’s best seller “Do You Want The Truth….” is still her first of 3 albums to appear here along with the first of “Four” One Direction albums, making them the joint most frequent act on this survey though their new album has some way to go to make it onto this list in 2016.

It always amazes me to see Paloma's album sales - none opened with particularly big sales but they stick around long enough to rack up a lot of sales. All three of her albums have sold a similar amount which is pretty extraordinary anyway, never mind how much the album market collapsed between her first and third. About time she releases her fourth and I hope The Voice helps push her career further.

75. ULTIMATE COLLECTION- Whitney Houston (81-97-76-75) 620,800 (T/S 1,329,300)

74. BACK TO BLACK- Amy Winehouse (55-60-78-80-74) 625,400 (T/S 3,657,400)

73. TURN IT UP- Pixie Lott (17-33-41-53-62-73) 630,300 (T/S 878,600)

72. TIME FLIES 1994-2009- Oasis (38-62-67-77-72-72) 632,500

71. SEASONS OF MY SOUL- Rumer (36-36-43-54-61-71) 635,800

Showing remarkable consistency Oasis still sell well into 2015 but are now being chased by both Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston who continue to ensure their legacy and prove their enduring appeal.

According to what you've posted, Only by the Night has sold less than Beautiful World by Take That, even though last year's OCC list put Only by the Night 12th and Beautiful World 13th in terms of the century's best sellers. And according to a 2011 article by Music Week, BW had higher sales five years ago than OBTN does now

This list is only based on sales since 2010 though :D

No, in brackets you have the overall sales of 2,874,600 - and according to Music Week Beautiful World has sold more than that, and yet last year's OCC list showed Only by the Night further up the list.

Update: Apologies, misread it. Beautiful World had sold 2,820,100 as of 2011.

It's so weird to see albums here just because they sold a lot in 2010 - Pixie Lott's album can't have added many sales since for example.

Take That's progress album is another example of this when the list eventually gets there. Was such a mammoth album when released that year (or at least for that autumn/winter) but has done very little since. Not exactly an album most would think of as having an enduring impact over the decade compared to albums like + and 21.

What has Adele's 19 sold this decade? I think it it was only on about 650,000 by the end of 2009

Also it's amazing how 21 was certified 16x Platinum (4.8m) before it had even sold 4.4m. Although I guess the BPI weren't too exact until the automated certifying began in July 2013

Was it a shipments based award or did they used to allow for an extra 5% above "Defined Universe" sales? (Now where did I hear that before?)

70. PURPOSE- Justin Bieber (NEW) 644,500

69. 4- Beyonce (48-45-56-61-69) 656,600

68. CAUSTIC LOVE- Paolo Nutini (75-68) 659,200

67. HEAVEN- Rebecca Ferguson (60-39-48-59-67) 661,500

66. GREATEST HITS- Foo Fighters (71-66-68-70-70-66) 663,300 (T/S 979,300)

Paolo Nutini continues to move north but his previous sets have been million sellers so whichever way you cut it this is a definite step down, but certainly on a career trajectory Justin Bieber is heading the other way with his recent album “Purpose” entering here at No 70, it’s not quite his biggest seller- keep watching for that……Foo Fighters however show Oasis exactly what consistency means never having moved more than 5 places from peak to trough at the end of each year, it will probably be a million seller sometime in 2016.

65. EVERY KINGDOM- Ben Howard (97-61-64-65) 672,100

64. NO MORE IDOLS- Chase & Status (43-44-49-58-64) 675,600

63. OUTTA THIS WORLD- JLS (18-28-37-47-56-63) 684,000

62. FALL TO GRACE- Paloma Faith (62-58-63-62) 702,900

61. UNAPOLOGETIC- Rihanna (58-46-55-61) 707,200

Once queen of this survey Rihanna has only three albums here now with the lowest clocking in at No 61 one place ahead of Paloma Faith, all her albums have sold over 700,000. Another defunct boyband, JLS, show past glories.

I would never have imaged that Foo Fighters' greatest hits would be a consistent seller.

60. SINCE I SAW YOU LAST- Gary Barlow (76-52-60) 714,400

59. JAKE BUGG- Jake Bugg (57-53-59) 730,000

58. SWINGS BOTH WAYS- Robbie Williams (52-50-58) 733,500

57. IN AND OUT OF CONCIOUSNESS- GREATEST HITS 1990-2010- Robbie Williams (14-29-36-43-51-57) 733,600

56. A PERFECT CONTRADICTION- Paloma Faith (82-56) 743,100

And here’s Paloma’s best seller registering at No 56 just above a bit of former band member rivalry. Gary Barlow has still to pass the best selling Robbie Williams albums of the decade which are both in decline, in terms of 2015 sales he did however outpace Williams.

55. CEREMONIALS- Florence + The Machine (54-38-44-54-55) 743,800

54. LADY KILLER- Cee-Lo Green (23-28-37-45-54) 758,500

53. NEVER BEEN BETTER- Olly Murs (NEW) 763,700

52. MY WORLD- Justin Bieber (12-22-29-40-47-52) 772,500

51. TO BE LOVED- Michael Buble (50-48-51) 778,000

Along with 1D Olly Murs also has 4 albums on this chart, “Never Been Better” was helped by a timely re-issue to push it over the ¾ of a million mark, it’s still his worst seller though. Meanwhile the Buble seems to have lost his touch too and there’s that Bieber best seller, but for how much longer?

50. SCIENCE AND FAITH- The Script (19-27-30-39-44-50) 787,900

49. BAD BLOOD- Bastille (79-49-49) 796,800

48. NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS- Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds (27-32-38-46-48) 801,900

47. LIGHTS- Ellie Goulding (24-25-35-41-42-47) 807,300

46. OLLY MURS- Olly Murs (20-24-27-32-40-46) 826,000

More Olly for you here with his debut album and Ellie with hers, they both went onto greater things of course. We probably won’t be saying that of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds but he’s made his money.
