I think I may have been a bit hasty in predicting Shawn to climb to #1 this week, looks like he may have to wait until the chart of 22 January.

 

I wonder if he'll make it to #1 on iTunes in time for the.. Vodaphone Big Flop 40 WITH MARVIN HUMES. (repeated every 5 minutes)

I think Shawn can make #1 a week on Friday at this rate, with a-list airplay kicking in on Monday. Not gonna get my hopes up though :heehee: a long-running #2 seems pretty definite at least though!

Somebody put Capital on at work today, and they played a trail for the Big Top 40 WITH MARVIN HUMES and then somebody else said what happened on last week's chart. I understand he was probably on holiday, but it's weird to leave his name in the trail and not the person who was actually presenting.

As someone said mainly a songwriter now, she was in the studio with Ella Henderson last week working on a song for Ella's Chapter Two or whatever it's gonna a be called...

Army up to #23, must have been played on tv :) nothing much happening with the big climbers from a few days ago all stalling (Little Mix, Snakehips, Craig David)...

 

really like the new Little Mix, much better than LMLY, it's a pity it's doing so poorly on Spotify, not sure why... guess it's early days but surprised it's climbed so much on itunes but not on streaming...

Lush Life is a strange one, it's obv not OAOS as its on Spotify and been there for a month or so but the preorder is doing poorly and released Friday with no capital or radio 1 playlistung. I have a feeling it will do well on downloads this Friday when released tho!

It's picking up nicely on Spotify though. It's climbed 70 places in the last 5 days.

 

It has no chance of making the top 10 this week, which is perfectly fine given that impact is roughly a month off and Radio 1 haven't even gotten on board yet. Would be nice to see it back in the iTunes top 10 again soon.
