November 28, 20186 yr Playboy style giving me side to side vibes! Omg Mama is a BOP!! Where are you hearing this?!?
November 28, 20186 yr This time last year I'd have been excited for this album... but Baby and these subsequent songs are meh. Also reading all this stuff about their label and how they seem to just cave in to all their crap doesn't make you want to root for them in a big wayA bit harsh to say "seem to just cave in" when it sounds like it was literally months of fighting for her to be on the single and we all know label politics and stuff is horrendous. Just look at the whole Jess Glynne and 'Woman Like Me' stuff. She seemed legit pissed that LM label practically stole it off of her, whilst LM didn't want to release it unless Nicki featured on it and they were allowed to change a few things to make it more them. It's such a pisstake and really needs to stop. It happens all too often!
November 29, 20186 yr Mama is okay, it's not as good as Baby, or any of the other singles though. It could be a minor hit if released. 'Should've Known Better' is the best of the new tracks for me, it's got a very similar feel to Symphony and I Miss You (A cross between the two).
November 29, 20186 yr Everything sounds the same  Out At Night, 24 Hours, Nowhere, and Playboy Style are album highlights for me so far. It's sounding good but nothing has really surprised me. A low key wish they'd have thrown on Elton John or Cher collabs here just for a bit of variety. Edited November 29, 20186 yr by DexTheHalls
November 29, 20186 yr Everything sounds the same  That was kind of my first impression too. Everything is very lightly latin-infused dance pop.
November 29, 20186 yr After hearing the album in full, I think the clear singles are 'Mama' and 'Should've Known Better'. 'Nowhere' is so disappointing.
November 29, 20186 yr The singles from this album have been fantastic so it's disappointing to hear that the album tracks aren't up to scratch. Surely they have had long enough to ensure that only the best made the album?

Surely they have had long enough to ensure that only the best made the album? They've probably binned so much stuff over the last few years and hurriedly cobbled together what they could to meet an end of year deadline.
November 29, 20186 yr We were just kids sounds great, I like in us I believe but the middle to end when they stray throwing random instruments in is irritating! Wish there were more songs with strings, seems strange that all the songs with strings were the singles released and don’t feature on the rest of the album
November 30, 20186 yr This is so underwhelming, all the album tracks feel completely sub-par on first listen and completely lacking the Clean Bandit style. It’s as like they’ve spent the same amount of time on all the album tracks as they did on just one of the singles. It does make me slightly happy though that I’m not left thinking ‘eek, they should have picked that over Baby’ Maybe it will grow, I hope so
November 30, 20186 yr Started to really like Out at Night. The other songs I've heard; Baby, Mama and the Charli XCX ones are poor.... like not even medicore. CB seem to either do 10/10 or just pump out crap
November 30, 20186 yr I feel like they were forced by the label to make so many songs with these big names as opposed to making their own music with artists they chose to. I’m sure they had fun making this but I find it hard to believe CB thought “I’d love to shove Charli XCX and Bhad Barbie on a song!”... like I feel as though whoever was in charge somehow thought BB would be a big name in music that CB could attach a hit to
November 30, 20186 yr In that interview with the Guardian they say they recorded with Elton John but sounded too much like old CB, like from the "Rather Be" era so didn't make the album :/ don't get how that was a bad thing they also mention an attempt at collaborating with Gwen Stefani but didn't work out they also mention they approached Harry Styles but didn't work either
November 30, 20186 yr Author What an awful album (singles aside) and I cannot deal with Beautiful literally ripping off, no sorry copying, the production of Telephone Banking. I am so disappointed that we have waited 3 years for an album of samey Latin-esque tracks
November 30, 20186 yr This album sounds rather bland on first listen. They seem to have lost their USP somewhat.

November 30, 20186 yr The album certainly doesn't live up to the standard of the singles and it's a real shame. I enjoy songs like Mama, Should've Known Better and Last Goodbye but they lack that signature Clean Bandit stamp. They're good songs but they could just as easily be on Jonas Blue's album really.
