February 16, 20169 yr 99 homes is a movie I really need to watch, is it good? I remember when it looked like Michael Shannon might have got an Oscar nod at one point! It kind of fell under the radar, but it's a really good film - great performances all round.
January 23, 20178 yr Star Wars: Episode VIII has unveiled its name. The film will be titled Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The film, directed by Rian Johnson, picks up immediately after the events of 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which concluded with Rey (Daisy Ridley) finding Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), who had been living in seclusion. The cast also includes the late Carrie Fisher as Leia, who died Dec. 27. She had completed her work for the film, but had also been scheduled to appear in Episode IX. Lucasfilm has said it has no plans to use a digital re-creation of Carrie Fisher as Leia, as they did in December's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The Last Jedi also stars Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie and Andy Serkis. They'll be joined by franchise newcomers Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters Dec. 15, 2017. Source :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
January 23, 20178 yr The Last Jedi doesn't roll off the tongue quite so easily as the other titles, but maybe it just needs TIME
April 14, 20178 yr I liked everything I saw but felt the last line made me a little uneasy....though we don't really know what it means. But for impact factor I felt pretty underwhelmed. 95% of the imagery was stuff we already knew we'd see. I know it's just a teaser but it felt like they were really emphasising 'all that stuff you loved last time, we got more!' Showing Luke and Rey still in Ireland, Finn still in a coma, etc we get it, it's a direct continuation. There was nothing there I disliked but one shot of a new character or perhaps Leia's face or Chewie would have made it all that better for me.
April 14, 20178 yr You can never expect anything from a teaser trailer, really. It was perfect as a teaser tbh. Didn't give a great amount away and it is Star Wars, it doesn't really need to, tbh. SO EXCITED anyway!
April 14, 20178 yr It didn't give me much to be excited about that I wasn't already. Cute teaser but no wow moments, like I got TFW one.
April 14, 20178 yr But TFA was completely different, considering it was the first Star Wars movie in over a Decade! But in all honesty, Star Wars could literally not post a trailer and still reel in huge hype  It won't be long until we do get an official trailer though. I'd be surprised if this was all we got until Summer. I'm hoping we get the trailer attached to 'Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol 2' rather than 'Spiderman: Homecoming' though! (They're the only Disney-related ones I can think of that they would have the trailer ready for - 'Thor: Ragnarok' should be on trailer 2 or 3 by that point I imagine haha) EDIT: Now I've said this, we probably won't get anything until around August time :basil:
April 14, 20178 yr I agree with the consensus that I'm not really any more hyped than before... Still REALLY hyped but it would've been nice to see SOMETHING new and I really wish we got a shot of Leia too. I agree with Jonjo that we'll probably get something new in front of a Marvel movie or (perhaps Pirates 5? as that's in the middle of the two). I hope it's not too long to wait until we get some really exciting footage!
April 14, 20178 yr I'm obviously still hyped for the film but I wanted to explode like I have done previously and this didn't really do it. I really think it's just because the imagery was mainly similar to the last one. Obviously there are new characters and locations but it'd have been nice to glimpse them slightly.

I hope it's not too long to wait until we get some really exciting footage!Ahh yes! I knew there was another big one I was missing out on! I'd say 'Pirates' is def more likely to get an official trailer. This teaser will be used for GOTG:V2 then. EDIT: I get people probably "wanted to see more" but maybe it's just me, but I like to know as little as possible so this really did everything for me! I avoid trailers to things I'm looking forward to, because I get so paranoid they'll give everything away  So this teaser (we've got to remember that's literally all this is) hits it perfectly for me. I'll probably watch the first trailer, but then that'll literally be it for me. I'm just happy that we are given something!
April 14, 20178 yr The last line was the best part, quite unnerving and ambiguous. I'm really intrigued what they do with Luke this time around, think it'll be a little different to what Obi Wan was in the originals. Other than that, didn't give much away at all and I agree it wasn't a 'WOW' moment but yay for getting something I guess~ Edited April 14, 20178 yr by Chez W♀mbat

We saw 2 establishing shots of Ireland in the trailer and we've already seen establishing shots of that just in the last film. Perhaps a new landscape would be better. We certainly didn't need any more dialogue in the trailer than what we got.
April 15, 20178 yr The most interesting thing for me was the Star Wars logo coming up in red and not the usual yellow. I'm sure it's significant.
April 15, 20178 yr But TFA was completely different, considering it was the first Star Wars movie in over a Decade! That was my point. I get that it's a teaser but id have liked to have seen something that wasn't a shot we could have seen in the last film, a hint of something new. I'm still reeeeeally excited, that trailer just hasn't elevated my excitement at all. Am I the only one who thinks the line 'it's time for the Jedi to...end' is kinda bad?
April 15, 20178 yr Again, still excited about the film, but underwhelmed from what I saw in the teaser.
May 24, 20178 yr First look at Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro in this as well as Leia & Luke on set. The newbies both look so cool, Dern is giving me Effie from Hunger Games vibes *-* Edit: more can be seen here!
July 15, 20178 yr We got this today from D23: ye6GCY_vqYk Seeing Carrie Fisher here is making me emotional, I really hope they do her justice in these two remaining films. Also, (I don't know if she was confirmed before this but) it's nice to see Lupita back, wasn't sure what happened to Maz Kanata in TFA but she was a quirky, fun side character so yay. Laura Dern also looks amazing, the hair!!! *-*
