February 7, 20169 yr the first thing i got from one listen of the song was COMPLETE black power (i don't usually pay attention to lyrics but i couldn't help but do it!) and it made me really realise how much she changed with 'Beyoncé' onwards - she's really putting herself into her music for the first time recently and obviously LOOK at the outcome. so so soooo good. on a face value scale as well i think that 'i got hot sauce in my bag swag' is gonna be another tagline of a lyric that i will obsess over

February 9, 20169 yr I love how she knows exactly what she's doing/what she wants to do. I think it's particularly great to read about all the work she's done for black people along with Jay-Z (without the need for loads of publicity) and then she releases this to help spread/enforce the message. Why is the video unlisted on YouTube though? :o
February 10, 20169 yr I really like this - she has done it yet again. She is the queen of fierce lyrics and videos to match. I find it very similar to 7/11 which I wasn't really fond of, but it's much catchier.
February 10, 20169 yr this is already my favourite beyoyo song ever and song of the year. been constantly in my head for 2 days in a row. in 2014 and 2015 my songs of the year were released in january so even though it's february this time, the early bird tradition will probably continue~
