January 28, 201610 yr I was saying 15K cos that's what Kygo needed on Jan 15 to get to #40 40 Kygo feat. Matty Noyes 14,964 That was a strong week because of David Bowie's death and his tracks appearing in the top 40. The week before Craig David was # 36 with 13.4k ;)
January 28, 201610 yr Also, Kygo sold 12,915 (the 14,964 figure was for Little Mix but was accidentally repeated).
January 28, 201610 yr It wouldn't surprise me if Rihanna managed the chart double next week, there's so much hype around her right now and I think Zayn could be over predicted a little bit and Rihanna has managed to start a very good lead on iTunes, she needs to spotify 'Work' as soon as possible though. January 28, 201610 yr Don't suppose anyone knows how well Whitney's albums did after her death on the budget chart do they? I seem to remember that the immediate death effect was quite underwhelming considering which I'll put down to lack of stock, so did they stick around/do better at any point after when shops presumably got new stock?
January 28, 201610 yr SEVEN new entries in the top 40? We're surely not worthy of such a treat in 2016 :o Good to see radio stations somewhat getting used to OA/OS, though some of the new entries have barely been played anywhere, which suggests radio isn't going to be as dominant in making hits in the streaming era. Spotify's hit playlists are the new radio...no doubt record companies will see this and will try to pay the playlist curators to get their singles onto the playlists. Hopefully they won't be successful in doing this.
January 28, 201610 yr Can you post how much did Work sell Even if approx Edited January 28, 201610 yr by Bjork
