January 27, 201610 yr It would be nice if Suede can hold top 5 in the albums, but not expecting it. Nice to see it's beating their last album's first week. :o
January 27, 201610 yr How do we know this? And seeing as it wasn't re-released physically all those must have come from the download era. That sounds like a hell of a lot of downloads. MW confirmed it had sold 630k downloads as of October 2014, plus 70k+ for 2015 if it does sell generally ~1.5k per week, not forgetting the missing streams from the 630k total and however many sales it racked up between October and December 2014. All pointing to the 725k being 1994 sales only. The 150k from the 80s is an estimate but one that's agreed on by a lot of members on Haven who look into pre-1994 sales data.
January 28, 201610 yr Rihanna at #24 today fans have been snapping up Rihanna's new single Work since its surprise release yesterday (January 27), and the track has already entered the UK Top 40, OfficialCharts.com can confirm. Work, which features Drake, lands at Number 24 in today's early sales flash. Sales and streams are counted each day up to midnight, meaning its current position is the result of being available for less than 12 hours after its 1pm release yesterday. The track's final position on this week's Official Singles Chart will be revealed tomorrow (January 29) between 4pm and 5.45pm. Work is the lead single from Rihanna's new album ANTi, which was released late last night for free via music service TIDAL. A deluxe version of the record with three bonus tracks will follow on January 29. Click here to download ANTi. It has not yet been announced when ANTi will be available to download and stream on other services, including iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify. Edited January 28, 201610 yr by Bjork
January 28, 201610 yr Author She could have had her first number 1 since Diamonds if she didn't choose Wednesday as a release date then...
January 28, 201610 yr New Rihanna song might be one of the worst songs ever to enter the chart, it's opinion.... Yes, but there is no dispute as its shamefully shit.
January 28, 201610 yr I'm actually surprised she's in, thought you needed like 15K to make the top 40, think Adele's All I Ask did 13K and missed
January 28, 201610 yr Author I'm actually surprised she's in, thought you needed like 15K to make the top 40, think Adele's All I Ask did 13K and missed I'm really surprised she's as high as that too, I thought she'd be like #46 or something after 1 day, especially with it not being on Spotify.
January 28, 201610 yr I'm actually surprised she's in, thought you needed like 15K to make the top 40, think Adele's All I Ask did 13K and missed Adele did 12 k and was #41. You need around 12.5-13k to make the top 40 right now. Zara Larsson was #40 last week on 12.3k
January 28, 201610 yr To me, looking at Kworb it looks like she's sold more than 'All I Ask' did in its entire week so I'm not totally surprised.
January 28, 201610 yr To me, looking at Kworb it looks like she's sold more than 'All I Ask' did in its entire week so I'm not totally surprised. According to Digital Sales Data (which is an estimation, let's not forget), Rihanna sold 20k in the last 24 hours.
January 28, 201610 yr I was saying 15K cos that's what Kygo needed on Jan 15 to get to #40 40 Kygo feat. Matty Noyes 14,964
January 28, 201610 yr I know not really on topic but she giving the album away Cam be downloaded from tidal with redemption code ANTI If she giving it away is it that bad
January 28, 201610 yr Not a big fan of Rihanna, but she's not going to do that well on the album charts if she's giving the album for free, also sales of the single will probably begin to drop soon

It is also just a little ironic that they also went 10+ years without a studio album and then returned in 2013 and then again in 2016 (same as one of their Prime influences David Bowie).
