January 29, 20169 yr I love the song, I think it's amazing, I also agree, that it doesn't sound all that different from a 1D song tbh, i mean plus some heavy R&B influences, and swearing . But i have to agree, I found the video a complete non-event, which is a shame because the song is really good. Would have liked something more creative, or sexy, or just something else tbh, idk.
January 29, 20169 yr It's nice but I was wanting to like it a lot more. Don't hear any One Direction in it at all though Video goes overboard on the effects
January 29, 20169 yr The song would be ok as an album track, but how is it considered as a lead single? His voice is very good on it, but it doesn't make up for the lack of a proper melody. Oh and yeah the video is a mess  Edited January 29, 20169 yr by Hayzayy
January 29, 20169 yr I think I like it, in some aspects it is roughly what I expected and it sounds relatively solid on the first listen. It's kind of like a Weeknd track with a chorus like The Wanted might do (I'm not just saying that because it uses the word "warzone"). I quite like the video.
January 29, 20169 yr It's nice but I was wanting to like it a lot more. Don't hear any One Direction in it at all though Video goes overboard on the effects The production is more experimental than most of their stuff and the intro & verses have a lot more of an RnB vibe. But it's the chorus specifically for me, which melodically sounds like it could have fitted onto one of 1D's most recent albums. And I don't mean it as a criticism, 1D have put out some really decent, mature stuff over the past 2/3 albums, it's just funny given Zayn's recent comments.
January 29, 20169 yr Author The production is more experimental than most of their stuff and the intro & verses have a lot more of an RnB vibe. But it's the chorus specifically for me, which melodically sounds like it could have fitted onto one of 1D's most recent albums. Agree without the R&B production and the r rated words it totally would fit on Four.
January 29, 20169 yr Yeah I can see how this would just fit on FOUR.... Really nothing special at all imo, it's listenable but I expected a lot more, I thought it'd be a lot more different to 1D's stuff than just a bit of production and a couple of swear words!
January 29, 20169 yr This is incredible  Completely what I imagined and wanted from him. I always thought he should make similar music to Travis Garland (one of my fav male solo artists) and this could so be on his last EP. Sexy, melodic and outstanding production values. He has always been my fav for a reason (outwith being the hottest human known to man).
January 29, 20169 yr Number 1 on UK iTunes :cheer: Ah there we go :cheer: i didn't see it sticking at 28
January 29, 20169 yr I like all... my only concern is he's over-singing (or a little bit too screechy) for me on the chorus. I feel like a softer Weekend-esque vocal would fit better?! I also agree with the 1D things but I think it's because he had such significant parts on their songs...
January 29, 20169 yr Hmmm, this is actually quite good, I can't personally hear 1D's sound at all in here and the sort of direction he should be going in, it's like...a Chris Brown record but actually good (albeit that is rare). Though the swearing and the totally non subtle sex references does grate on me a bit, they just seem like he's trying too hard to make it clear he's moved on and is 'adult' now, when it really should naturally. Miley Cyrus teas~
January 29, 20169 yr I love this song so much, and I agree with Chez about the f***ING line, it's very jarring and feels too forced. But I found the clean edit on Spotify and it sounds much better for me. 'f***ing' is replaced by 'loving'.
January 30, 20169 yr Meh it's no 1D is it!? Compltetely agree about the f***ing line.. I just think it's there to establish boundaries. Also agree that the chorus is taken straight out of Four! Not bad, but I hope he can do better. It's very average.
