'Fakin It' HAS to be the single after 'Feels'... surely!? (If he decides to push anymore of course, as I can see him actually wanting to move on asap to release vol. 2)

I'll give this a listen soon, Feels is my favourite song of his for some time and Slide was great too.
Slide and Feels have grown, both quite solid for how long it took me to come round to his new sound! Skrt On Me is pretty disappointing though, it's like a 4/10 eh I guess ok if it was on the radio sort of song :( I just checked out the ones with the artists I liked, Faking It and Hard To Love but I doubt I will go back to either of them that much.
It's solid, it does the job. Like everyone I hope he does do some more "bangers" at some point but this is a serviceable poolside album and I'm sure I'll have it on a lot over summer.

Really liking this.

There aren't any more big singles on it but 'Feels' should do the job as the Summer hit and then he can move on to the next era by the start of next year.

Faking It and Hard To Love are both amazing , but I agree, I can't see them being another single

yeah pretty much agree with this

Feels is still pretty good but I'm not really all for the rnb sounding "sounds good when you're high" sort of route he seems to be going down now, despite how much I used to stan him a few years ago :nocheer:

I think Slide and Cash Out could be growers though! :D

"Cash Out" has been my least favourite of the tracks I hadn't heard so far, while "Holiday", "Faking It" and "Hard To Love" are my favourite additions to the singles so far.

I can see myself listening to this A LOT this summer, I'll come around to the tracks I'm not so fussed on, rarely is an album completely instant.

With "Cash Out" it may just be that it has been placed poorly in the tracklisting. Tracks 1, 3 and 4 flow so nicely on from one another, having "Cash Out" as track 2 halts that flow, and it is so early to be doing that.

What a poor album. Slide and Feels are the only good ones on here.

09.0 "Slide" (feat. Frank Ocean & Migos)

04.0 "Cash Out" (feat. ScHoolboy Q, PARTYNEXTDOOR & D.R.A.M.)

05.0 "Heatstroke" (feat. Young Thug, Pharrell Williams & Ariana Grande)

01.0 "Rollin" (feat. Future & Khalid)

04.5 "Prayers Up" (feat. Travis Scott & A-Trak)

04.0 "Holiday" (feat. Snoop Dogg, John Legend & Takeoff)

06.0 "Skrt On Me" (feat. Nicki Minaj)

09.0 "Feels" (feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean)

06.0 "Faking It" (feat. Kehlani & Lil Yachty)

05.5 "Hard To Love" (feat. Jessie Reyez)

I didn't enjoy the singles leading up to the album and was really disappointed in comparison to the bangers he used to put out but everything works so much better in the context of the album. I know this is going to sound great through the summer and a lot of the album tracks are brilliant too. It definitely peaks towards the end of the album though, my top three (aside from Feels) are the Nicki (such a warm little bop, kind of wish it didn't have the rap segment though), Lil Yachty/Kehlani (this is what the Tinashé collab on Motion should have sounded like tbh - also the rap is lots of fun) and Jessie Reyez collabs.

Overall, I was expecting to be disappointed due to the switch in sound but the album really works and is making me appreciate the singles much more too (Heatstroke especially!!). Hoping it can be a commercial success for him too and Feels can grow into a big hit as well.

100%. I really liked Slide but other than that none of the singles really peaked my interest. But I'm really glad I ended up listening to the album because it is amazing. Even though his other albums all have at least 4-5 hits on them, I actually prefer this one to thee as it's more laid back and easier to listen to. I'm not too keen on Hard to Love or Skrt On Me right now but I'm sure they'll grow - I'm not skipping them :P

Faking It is a clear highlight

I LOVE 'Dollar Signs', but I completely agree! It really gives me that early noughties R&B vibe that 'Super Love' gave me and so I immediately spotted the Tinashe comparisons too! It's probably why it's my firm favourite tbh.

I think I've listened to this at least once every day since its release  Just so fresh and stands out from the crowd right now!

So will there be any more singles from this album in the wake of the success of Feels?

I feel if Calvin does want to then he should strike now while the song is still hot.

Hopefully he will surprise fans at the end of the year with a one off single displaying his usual production skills we've been accustomed to for many years!

I don't imagine he'll release any singles post-album, I can't see any of them becoming big.

Hopefully he moves on to the Vol 2 era before the year is over.

I was also thinking he would not release any more singles and move to vol 2 to be released before Xmas with a new single(s) in the fall
I doubt we will get another single as we've already had 4 from a 10 track album but they may want to capitalise on the success of Feels and push album sales even more
Maybe Vol 2 is completely different in style? At least I hope so.

I doubt it. It's essentially a part two to the album we've already got, so its highly unlikely that he'll switch styles completely for the second part of the album.

(I really hope he releases more tracks like 'Feels', tbh looking back this era has been bloody good)
