Work Bitch didn't start to stabilize on iTunes again until it was in the lower 30's and PG fell out of the top 40 before it stabilized at all :o

Great to have seen it climb from 20 to 18 on US iTunes this morning....

I'm hearing whispers that the video is out next month. It's fine in America with pop and HAC radio kicking off.

I know it's not priority, but I really wish things were going a bit better in the UK, if the video isn't out soon to give it a boost, it'll probably be given up on altogether very soon. I can see Capital dropping it next week, as Now/new releases tomorrow could see it leave the top 100. :/

I'm hearing two very different scenarios about the video. There are some saying the record label wants to wait so it comes out closer to the RUMORED VMA performance. But, surely they aren't trying to wait that long. TEASERS AT LEAST.
I really hope it comes out on Friday. Surely it would make more sense to release Friday to boost second week sales and peak higher and then if the VMA performance is true, this would ensure its longevity later on. Plus I really want to see it. To be honest, even with the video, I'm not sure how much impact it will have in the UK. I think she'd have to promote over here to get any impact.

A really good video would give her a big leg up here, if it came out early enough.

I hope you're right. I just remember thinking that with WB and it didn't have much impact. The song still fell fast out of the U.K. Charts.

Its radio performance is really encouraging, I hope this isn't a flash in the pan thing. It's particularly great to see the song making inroads on Hot AC and Rhythmic, even if they're small. Britney getting any level of crossover beyond Pop radio is a good thing that she hasn't had for a while.

Such a great climb on US Spotify today as well!

The video was released whilst the song was still only available to preorder IIRC.

Ah okay. Well then hopefully this time it will have more impact with it already being released.

Yeah and does G Eazy have a decent following in the UK? Surely his appearance in the video will help a ton, if that's the case!

Yeah, he's massive on Spotify over here and his last single has sold nearly 500,000 copies. He was featured on that track 'You Don't Own Me' which hit #4 before Christmas and has sold over 500,000 copies.

He's had some hits but isn't really going to turn heads that much. Nathan Skyke's most recent single featured him and was one of the biggest flops of the year. He does add a cool factor to the song though.

Nathan Sykes has never had a hit though has he? :D

G-Eazy won't do any harm to the song commercially but I doubt he'll help it THAT much either tbh
I think G-Eazy will only really help in terms of radio. You Don't Own Me and Me, Myself & I were both big hits so having him on the song will hopefully make stations like R1 a bit less reluctant to play it. It's not guaranteed though, as Joe said with the Nathan Sykes song (he'd had two top 20 hits before the G-Eazy song which went top 60!).

I'm so over Britney flopping. This is the most radio friendly, solid pop hit in recent years, I don't get why people just see her name and instantly discredit her.

If this song was by Jess Glynne or any other current female pop commodity, it would be a LOT bigger and doing much better commercially.

I wouldn't say she's flopping, things are very uncertain. It's still doing good things on US radio and streaming. It might just take a while for iTunes to catch up. I'm admittedly a little worried that people are saying the video won't come for 3 weeks etc, but when it does come, it's sure to have an impact.

I wouldn't be so worried for her UK success if Capital weren't notorious for dropping songs just because they don't perform to their unreasonable expectations. If they stay on board, then we get the video and promo whenever they're due, it would help the song to perform in the usual OA/OS manner.

This basically. This is happening with all my faves, it's so frustrating, she's only 34! :arrr: She's basically the same age as Katy and Gaga but because she's been out for more than 10 years they suddenly wanna act like she never existed  This ageism is only a recent thing, radio still played Janet and Madonna well into the early 2000s.

It's just... What the hell is she gonna have to do to get people to listen

Joe and Liam, I have nothing but love for my fellow Britney fans and I know we all hope for the best for her so your optimism is exactly right, so this is said in tough love, not rudeness.

Wake up! She won't hit top 10 in the UK, hell even Top 20 is starting to look like a struggle.

USA she's not gonna have too bad of a first week or two then it will plummet. It's awful and it's harsh, but it's total reality!

This song should be a hit. A current up and coming feature. Some of the best vocals she's laid in a long time. She's looking better than ever. The song is the perfect balance of sex appeal and a touch of the classic Britmey ballads.

Hell, forget me saying another artist recording this song would make this a hit. Britney 10/15 years ago would have made this huge.
