Actually I was surprised it was transmitted last night, last week England played Monday evening and EE wasn't even transmitted.

On a separate note, this Amy story just feels like a filler story, as it feels as Ronnie is taking her child away to be with Jack as a family while Roxy feels left out again, always losing her boyfriends to Ronnie and now Amy

I suppose it was the case that England's group matches were known well in advance so they could ensure they didn't schedule any EastEnders against any of them. But the knockout round fixture dates were only known a few days ago and it would've been too late to change the schedule so they just had to hope there wasn't a clash but there was.

That said, it feels more than a coincidence that possibly the most boring EE episode of the year was shown against what has ended up being the most watched programme of the year.

 

It's happened a few times before where an episode that doesn't have much going on in it gets put against something they know is going to get good ratings.

Could they not have given the added Brexit scene to someone else? Kellie Bright went from looking quite visibly pregnant to her usual self in the previously filmed scenes.

Bringing Jack back i still have doubts about. I feel he is a character that has naturally run its course. For him to stay he would work better as background material for Ronnie so she can have happiness outside of that i think he will be a character on a repeat cycle of the same storylines unless he strikes up something good with Max when he fully returns.

 

God Linda's very miserable isn't she? I like her but give her some happy things to do, please.

I know we suffer major Carter burnout but Linda has never not been amazing.
