I think most people guessed that outcome from the wording of various articles reporting on it, but I can feel this storyline is going to be so good.

Paul will not be missed. He is the absolute definition of missed opportunity tbh. An extra layer for the Cokers, a character mentioned many times before he showed up. And yet he comes in as a blatant Johnny replacement and the actor is essentially playing himself (to the point both are diabetic-something never touched upon really) and then is killed off shortly after a recast Johnny turns up. What's worse is that this Johnny is absolutely shit.
For just a second before they showed it was Paul I thought the body was ACTUALLY Ben because of Phil's face

Amidst among all the drama with the Cokers and the Mitchells, Lee's face was priceless when he was told Whitney had a bun in the oven

To be honest I didn't know Paul left EE, I was expecting somebody else at the end of Monday's episode.

And Liam97 love your siggie

That whole final scene was so beautifully directed. From them literally not saying anything, to the pouring of the tea, to them having to be in seperate rooms. Really, really heartbreaking.
Fantastic and emotional episode. So impressed with the acting. Wasn't keen on having the Whitney storyline as part of the episode, perhaps could have waited for that but I suppose they needed a side story with some 'happiness'.

I dunno if it's because I'm tired after being out last night but I'm an emotional wreck after catching up on that. I never even cared for Paul but I do care for Ben, Les and Pam so that episode was very heavy.

Sadly, I'm not sure where Pam and Les can go from here.

I had to rewatch both episodes to truly appreciate them - the Carter scenes/filler spoiled the momentum for me first time round, but then I appreciate those scenes too and they seemed to work intertwined with the drama on second watch.

Everyone's acting style seemed to suit their reactions - Ben's overdrama and Les' awkwardness usually hinders their performances but it felt appropriate to their scenes. It was interesting to see how grandparents react to a grandchild's death; it seemed to make everything all the more emotional, but that might be because I'm super close to my grandma.

Wow Johnny, what a sleazeball! You can totally tell something is going to happen between him and Ben some time soon.

Pam's performance was heartbreaking tonight, as was Ben's when he started to open up as to what actually happened. I also loved how Belinda worked into tonight's episode; she's got the potential to be such a classic character I think.

I saw that coming a mile off.

Pam's performance was brilliant the scene with Belinda was heartbreaking.

Ugh this Johnny is just the worst. Those facial expressions.

I just wish they'd give him something to do instead of repeating his university or love life storylines. He has literally done nothing since his return <_<
