There was just TOO MUCH going on in that episode. Whitney screeching 'get out before I smash your face in!' I hope she hasn't forgotten that Abi bumps into and BATTERS people! Roxy's face when Belinda was talking about dead skin, Honey 'the world's your lobster, Kim and Denise being themselves and the idea that anyone can take Abi seriously as a 'dirty skank'.

 

And yes, every single characters absolute deference to Linda is becoming nauseating. Time must stop because she needs a nap.

Loved that whole final scene with Whitney and Lee. Shona got a chance to shine and Danny-Boy put more emotion into that performance than he has his whole time on EE put together.

I really think Whitney/Shona is possibly the most underrated actress in soap. Every time she gets some material she plays it absolutely superbly, and her storylines a few years ago with the likes of Rob and Janine remain some of the most memorable for me - I seem to remember an amazing scene with Kat a couple of years ago too. I think it's unfair she seems to have been pushed to the back more recently, with the likes of Lauren/Jac and Stacey/Lacey being the front-women for the younger generation of females. I hope Shona continues to get the material she deserves as she, like Jamie/Jay on the male side, has been more like a background character up until this year.

I agree and I'm also pissed off the writers don't think much of Whitney. I know she's attached to the Carters because her on screen family's presence has completely dwindled but I just think this should have been the end for her and Lee. She could easily move in with Sonia and look after the house whilst Sonia is away and bring up her child as a strong independent single mum. It wouldn't be forever before another love interest would come along and if they're really concerned of her having no family then maybe it'd be an idea to bring Tiffany back who would be a wayward teen by now and give Whitney another challenge and the chance to be a non screechy Bianca. They haven't run out of things for her to do but whilst she's with the Carters she will be playing second fiddle and doing nothing but extend their Empire. I loved her scene with Linda last night as she said everything I was thinking. I just couldn't believe she took Lee back after a matter of hours.
