Just lingering outside the top 10 at the #11 spot is 'Womanizer', meaning that we say goodbye to another era 'Circus' which like 'BJ' has no more singles left in the running. Again there was another battle for the higher spot, between this and the title track, which overtook this at several points during the scoring system, but in the end this managed to overtake it by just 4 points. Released in October 2008 as the lead single from her 6th album and has definitely become one of her biggest and most remembered hits and often deemed as a comeback, despite releasing an album and successful hit 'GM', the previous year. But during that era however, there were several personal meltdowns and troubles, which enabled her to promote any of it. But this proves that she was back on full force with something truly amazing and full of sass, swagger, addictive hooks, fantastic electro pop production and empowering lyrics, which many have stated that it's aimed at her total dick of an ex-husband Kevin Federline (who has kindly been shunned out of the spotlight) and only tried leeching of Britney's fame in order to try and gain a career of his own, which thankfully fell flat on his face. Even it's music video, which features Britney excellent dancing skills and sees her having fun again, which is always a good sign. Personally I love this song and rank it as one of my alltime fave Britney singles, and wanted it to be top 10 here, but didn't happen and had to settle for just outside top 10 position. But still managed a pretty decent average. Upon release the song became a smash hit, first entering the USA charts at #96 and then soaring to #1 in it's 2nd week, becoming one of the biggest jumps in Billboard history, and making this her first #1 in 10 years. In the UK it became another successful hit for her by reaching #3 and selling nearly 500,000 copies, making his one of her biggest selling singles there. This however to date is her last solo UK top 5 hit. Elsewhere it managed to top the charts in Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Israel, Norway & Sweden, along with top 5 peaks in Hungary, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Australia and finally top 10 everywhere else.

'Circus' is amazing mainly due to it's structure. It's not the mold of your typical pop song. It's so strong and anthemic. 'Womanizer' is still amaze <3

Circus should've been top10 and ahead of Womanizer.

I want Oops! at #1, but I know that ain't gonna happen

Absolutely gutted Womanizer just missed the top 10  I'd probably go as far as saying it's my favourite Britney song nowadays  The video is incredible, the song is incredible and I adore the lyrics, it is also an anthem and an utter jam
'Womanizer' is limp and relies on half a word in the chorus to make a hook, I'm delighted it didn't make the top 10 leaving us with a really strong selection here remaining.

#10. Piece Of Me | Blackout

Kicking off the top 10 is 'Piece Of Me', released in November 2007 as the 2nd single from her 5th album 'Blackout' and ranks as another of her most personal songs, as this one is seen as a two fingered salute to the paparazzi, and makes for one of her most interesting offerings to date. This also came out at a very troubled stage in Britney's life, where funnily enough the media were all over her, as she descended into public meltdown, and the timing off this release was pretty much spot on, as the lyrics are sort of like a biography that mirrors her real life events. The dark theme and serious undertones, really works well for this song, but I do have one slight criticism towards it, I find the heavily synthesized vocals and the frantic beats, does get a tad too much at times, but overall it's still an important song in her discography. Originally this was much higher in the top 10, but the 2nd 0, did cause it drop considerably, along with a few other low scores. Overall however the scores were mostly positive with 15 10's, 13 9's and several 8's. Upon release the song became a hit, despite lack of promotion, it reached #2 in the UK becoming the album's biggest selling and highest charting single, and hit #18 in the USA. Elsewhere it topped the charts in Ireland, and hit top 5 in Australia, Denmark, New Zealand & Canada, and top 10 in Austria, Germany, Finland, Sweden & Slovakia, then finally top 20/40 positions mostly everywhere else.

Ohhh, I didn't expect this one to be out quite yet. Great song, and still has a brilliant average.
The only criticism I can lobby at 'Piece Of Me' is the lyrical content seems a bit ingenuine/insincere as she had no part in its creation, but nevertheless it is a great track!

Considering that the top 10 is rather strong Piece of Me at #10 is a good start :D

I must've given it a 7.5 ish.

Piece of Me is one of the greatest pop songs of the 00s, I would've rated it higher but I can hear too much of Robyn's vocals on it. A shame they've relied too much on Robyn as Britney's vocals were more than enough for the song.
