sounds promising :bounce: ~ this needs to obliterate the charts :w00t:
This song has been on the dance Shazam chart for EVER. No idea why when everything else seems to get dropped off the list after a certain number of weeks.

Not my kind of thing much too minimal I am not a fan of percussion led tech house. Having said that this is much better than the last two big tech house hits, the Riton and Format B songs.

The name - Freak Like Me makes me think someone should do a remix of the Sugababes song. That would be epic.

R3hab recently did that (song is titled Freak) ~

That is a good tune, the music sounds like a more credible version of Galantis - No Money without the childish vocals

Now featuring a new vocal from UK dance queen Katy B atop the track’s distinctive bassline, ‘Freak Like Me’ is a surefire contender for one of this summer’s biggest anthems. On air and on sale from 17th June, with an impact date of 19th August, this single is a joint release between Defected Records and Ministry of Sound – a partnership that previously took Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’ to No.1 in the UK singles chart in 2013.

FFS Ministry of Sound :drama:

The vocal part even before the remix already sounded like Katy B so I can barely tell the difference there

It seems MNEK has since been added to the credits too as of a few weeks ago (I did think that male vocal sounded a lot like him). Such a shame this isn't looking to do better chartwise.

I've said before, but the move to OA/OS really killed the chart prospects of releases like this. This probably would have snuck in at #28 or something, but no chance now.

Should do well in the clubs though, which is an achievement not to be dismissed.

Well a held-back 28-45-66-87-OUT chart run isn't all that much better than an OA/OS 83-80-95-... run (which it is getting), except for it getting a mention in the chart show. Either way it's not going to be a big chart smash. But oh well, I'm used to a lot of my faves not charting well or at all now.
