So, she's performing;

“Work Bitch,” “Womanizer,” “I Love Rock N Roll,” “Breathe On Me,” “Slave,” “Touch Of My Hand” and “Toxic.”

Thoughts?

I Love Rock 'n' Roll? :puke:

Breathe On Me  I'm pretty sure she big time regrets not releasing that as a single.

As for not performing a new single, well to throw away a good promo opportunity is just so typically her.

The new single isn't ready :( But I actually think it's good to drum up some momentum by reminding people how amazing some of her back catalogue is.

HOWEVER, as much as I love Breathe on Me and low key stan for I Love Rock N Roll, this is a bit of a mess.

I'd do this:

Work Bitch

Womanizer

I Love Rock N Roll Oops! I Did it Again

Breathe On Me Piece Of Me (Or Gimme More)

Slave

Touch Of My Hand ...Baby One More Time

Toxic

(Ideally, I'd put Till The World Ends in there too, since it become quite a well remembered hit, but the setlist above does a perfect job of showcasing a range of her biggest hits)

It's all very exciting isn't it? I wonder who'll be presenting her with the award.... I'd quite like it to be Miley or Selena.

Her team are idiots, end of story. They're stuck in this Vegas bubble that Britney is in.

Past her first two albums, Britney became a singles artist.. So why on earth, when she's supposed to be doing a GH medley, is she doing two album tracks & one of her least successful singles?

The point of the performance was to get people to sit up and go 'Gosh, she's really had hit after hit'.. but that setlist is going to leave the general public confused.

I'm baffled by this aversion that she and her team have to '..BOMT' & 'Oops!'. She hasn't performed the originals of either for a very, very long time.

Imagine the FEELS if she opened a GH medley with the original '..BOMT'?! the audience would go crazy. It's one of the most recognisable intro's on a song ever!

The setlist is strange but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, it makes me think they have a good idea of what they want to do with the songs. Honestly I'm kind glad 'Oops!' and BOMT aren't included - they may be nostalgic and all but they're also the songs most associated with the idea of Britney being a has-been. Performing later hits ('Womanizer' in particular I think is a fantastic choice) is a good idea, and I don't think throwing out some of her more interesting album tracks is an inherently terrible idea either. I'm excited to see 'Touch of My Hand' more than any of the other songs really. 'I Love Rock & Roll' is the only one I can't really see working - I'd rather that was just cut without replacement to be honest.
Not seen any previous live performances of it (if there were any) but I imagine her version of 'I Love Rock N Roll' will sound better on stage than it does just as a track on its own. I also reckon it will only be a small segment of the song; it's not like all those songs will be performed in near-full.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely adore all the songs in the Medley, but this is a really good moment for the public who maybe have not thought about Britney in a while to be like 'Wow, I remember all these Brit songs', as Scherz said. I know she'll probably bring out the giant Vegas guitar, but I Love Rock N Roll really has no business being here. And yes, I agree a fan favourite album track is a nice idea but to include two is a bit OTT. I agree it's a bit confused and loads of people are going to end up thinking the two album tracks are new songs.

It's a 'Greatest Hits' medley but of 7 songs it only includes 3 big hits, 1 smaller hit (which retains an iconic status so is a good idea), a largely forgotten cover and 2 album tracks.

As much as I am disappointed, I will obviously be living when I see her back on TV again on Sunday/Monday.

(I'm listening to Breathe On Me now, and am really glad it's included actually, it still sounds very modern, it's the kind of thing I could imagine being a big hit in 2016)

I think the album tracks are OK in their inclusion beyond just "I want to see these performed". The most important thing in my eyes is that because they're such strange inclusions you can tell that they're there because Britney wants them there. That indicates that a) she knows what she wants to do with them in the set and b) she's going to be putting in the effort. The exclusion of BOMT/'Oops!' probably means that if they were in the set, she wouldn't have been giving it her all/may not have had direction for them.

In terms of winning over the public it'd probably be better for her to have included songs like 'Gimme More' and 'Piece of Me' than the ITZ album tracks but honestly I still think excluding her earliest big hits was wise even with the strange replacements they have. I feel that even if the ITZ tracks baffle people a bit, they'll garner more interest than performing her earliest classics would.

Still hard to justify 'Rock & Roll', but I'm OK with everything else to at least some extent.

I wonder if she'll bother re-recording vocals? Not doing BOMT is stupid. And won't TOMH be a little riskay ?!

If she didn't bother re-recording vocals for her show in Vegas, she definitely won't for a one-time performance

I love those two album tracks, in fact I'd say both are in my Top 5 Britney album tracks. However I'm not sure how well they'll translate to the audience? It might seem like a let down for those who are expecting hit after hit after hit. If she really had to include non-hits, I'd have just chosen Breathe On Me. Two songs could be pushing it a bit.

I Love Rock 'N' Roll... :') I just hope the performance of it is so electrifying that it makes the song seem amazing.

If this medley really is legit, then I can only assume her team/Britney feels like they're the strongest songs/performances to highlight her Vegas show... so hopefully they know what they're doing. Even if the medley looks a bit "hmm" on paper, perhaps it'll all make sense while watching.

I'm thinking the 'intro' could be the dancers doing something with BOMT/OOPS/a couple others, with visuals - which'll make it seem more hit-filled.

Breathe On Me is in my top 5 Britney tracks and easily her best album track for me. Criminal that it wasn't released as a single so I'm welcoming this much delayed justice!

I do agree with that prediction Joe, I think we might be seeing more than just the songs listed above, it's just those are the ones she'll actually perform...
