The recency effect means that the very saxy Fleur East, 2014's runner-up, and 2015's joke act Reggie & Bollie are both popular answers also. Less popular is 2005's Andy Abraham, who famously flopped for us at Eurovision in 2008, and 2008's JLS, who achieved a fair amount of success before splitting in 2014.

This time my favourite isn't the top! Instead, it's Nadia Almada, the winner of Big Brother 5. Her admittedly ICONIC single A Little Bit Of Action peaked at #27 in the UK, but it is Chanelle Hayes' Pussycat Dolls B-Side reject I Want It that I have the real soft spot for. Easily the most ready-made popstar The Voice has had, it was quite the shock when Leah McFall lost to Andrea Begley back in 2013. Her single Home was fairly popular on here so I did expect her to be a popualr pick.
