Katharine Jenkins is at #4 I believe.

It's great that Prince is doing so well, but surely OCC shouldn't do these misleading reports when half the data is missing...

To be fair to them, they do outline in the report that it's likely to change with the addition of streaming.

According to Mint Royale, Prince has 5 albums in the Top 6, with Katherine Jenkins at #4, and 13 albums in the Top 40. He also has 17 songs (!) in the singles Top 40, occupying the Top 2 (and 4 more in the Top 10). Obviously others will push him down a bit but that's a great start!

At least we are saved from Katherine Jenkins getting to number 1!

Adele is going to get knocked out of Top 5 for first time and Jess Glynne (and Bieber?) is going to be out of Top 10 for first time.

I think Prince will continue to dominate the Album chart for a few weeks.

That's true, but they talk about him being #1 and #2 includes him not being on Spotify, which it does, technically, but the same goes for every other song on the chart at this point.

A similar picture is also emerging in early album sales bulletins - initial numbers (again, sales only) show Prince records securing 50% of the Official Albums Chart Top 10 after 24 hours of data has been counted. His biggest titles are The Very Best Of (currently on course for Number 1), Ultimate (2) the Grammy Award-winning official soundtrack to the movie Purple Rain (3), The Hits/The B-Sides (5) and Sign O’ The Times (6). If Prince maintains this form, The Very Best Of would be Prince’s sixth Number 1 album in the UK

Is The Hits/The B-Sides available digitally only? Not sure if it's still in print as Ultimate might have replaced it.

Wonder if Warner will release another Prince compilation with licensing some post-1993 tracks like The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, Gold, Betcha By Golly, Wow!, Musicology, Call My Name, Black Sweat, Future Baby Mama...

they really should release a new Prince Definitive collection in order to make a more complete one

Ultimate is ok but some hits are in Disc 2 only as weird long remixes instead of the original

Very Best only goes til 91

The Hits1/2 is the more complete, but still misses everything post 1993 + Batdance

Given that Prince was quite experimental in the way he released Albums (Eg Newspaper only releases, Internet only releases, Releases under different names, Withdrawn Albums etc) some of his back catalogue is hard to track down a Definitive collection would make sense but would probably come in the form of a Box Set given the number of songs worthy of inclusion.

Saturday, April 23, 2016LEMONADE IS HERE; DRINK UP

Can you say, “I am woman, hear me roar?” Because Beyoncé sure as hell just did with Lemonade, an hour-long special and series of videos, presented via HBO.

Lemonade the Visual Album (Columbia) hit TIDAL as an exclusive in its last few minutes of TV time. It includes 12 tracks (presented below) plus the "Lemonade" video, and it has a run time of 1hr. 51min.

At press time, word is that Tidal will have a brief streaming exclusive of 48 hours. Whether or not there will be a physical component, and if so, when it will appear, isn't yet known. Stay tuned.

LEMONADE TRACKLISTING:

1. “Pray You Catch Me”

2. “Hold Up”

3. “Don’t Hurt Yourself” f/Jack White

4. “Sorry”

5. “6 Inch” f/The Weeknd

6. “Daddy Lessons”

7. “Love Drought”

8. “Sandcastles”

9. “Forward” f/James Blake

10. “Freedom” f/Kendrick Lamar

11. “All Night”

12. “Formation”

We don't know that yet. It could be on download sites after the 48 hours for all we know right now.
actually it would be a very interesting week chart-wise if Beyonce released to itunes on Tuesday

Is that our James Blake featured on Beyonces album **!!

Our? I don't know any other musical James Blakes apart from James Blake.

My point being I didn't expect to see him on Beyonces album!
but is it even a proper song? I read it was an interlude that last like 1 min 20 seconds :D

Drake has already overtaken Prince.

2:12 PM - 24 Apr 2016

surprise (not)

PJ Harvey was surely already going to do a drop from about 1-15 even without Prince factored in, so I wonder if she might be about to 'do a Bionic'?
