May 10, 20169 yr I honestly think "True Colors" got by on streams for the most part because besides opening weekend, sales were a bit lackluster
May 12, 20169 yr From what I've heard, this is the first time in years that Chris Brown has been absent from the Hot 100.
May 12, 20169 yr Author wow who knew kelela's "rewind"'s 10-week stint at #1 would renew interest in "my boo" and single-handedly resurrect miami bass????????? From what I've heard, this is the first time in years that Chris Brown has been absent from the Hot 100. saw this as well, probably easily verifiable by going back through each chart one by one but lol. wonder if BB will publish something later this week to confirm it Edited May 12, 20169 yr by dhwe
May 12, 20169 yr Drake must be rapidly catching up to the record for most Hot 100 entries - this is now 3 or 4 mixtape / album releases in a row from him where close to if not all of the tracks have made the Hot 100 in their own right from first-week streams isn't it? Surprising that the Rihanna collab is so low in the list of Drake new entries.
May 12, 20169 yr Drake will be closing in on Lil Wayne's tally for sure but from what I recall the Glee Cast's total number of entries is somewhat insanely insurmountable...
May 12, 20169 yr Author From Wikipedia: Most Hot 100 entries207 – Glee Cast149 – Elvis Presley (Pre–Hot 100 and Hot 100 included) [108 w/o pre-hot 100]130 – Lil Wayne123 – Drake91 – James Brown83 – Jay Z78 – Chris Brown75 – Ray Charles, Kanye West73 – Aretha Franklin also who is Troll™-ing the poll Edited May 12, 20169 yr by dhwe
May 12, 20169 yr Could very easily see Drake surpassing Glee Cast at some point - they obviously won't be adding any new hits now, while Drake is going to continue getting a ton of new entries every time he releases a new mixtape / album, plus any more features he might do. Assuming he continues to be massively popular and keeps releasing music fairly regularly of course. But I don't see why not, when he seems to STILL only be getting bigger as time goes by.
May 13, 20169 yr Ah so that lead certainly isn't safe given Drake's onslaught of new entries every single release! What an amazing achievement that would be.
May 16, 20169 yr I'm not sure what's more surprising, that My Boo is in the top 30 in 2016 or that it had never made the top 30 in the first place!! Really awesome to see it getting so much attention 20 years later, and a Miami bass revival would be more than welcome *.*
