omg she slayed

Have we forgotten about the fact that Clean Bandit are the main act in the song, yes Louisa's vocal is good but can we also appreciate the uptempo funky disco house Clean Bandit have thankfully provided for the song making it stand out from the dull paint by numbers tropical house that provides the backing for many pop stars now (5th Harmony, Zara Larsson, Justin Beiber).

I don't think anybody's forgotten who the main act is. Doesn't change the fact that Louisa was incredible in that performance :P

Well, there is a bit much focus on the vocalist in almost all genres of music so when the lead credited artist is not the vocalist they're pushed to the background in performances like this - from a quick watch, I think the group members are shining more than she is, even though they don't have the handy spotlight there.

She has competent vocals too, well done her - but equally it is absolutely their song.

To be honest I didn't think that PERF was all that good, she looked a bit lost in the middle of it all. Her vocals were good, obv, but definitely not HUGE STAR in the making stage presence.

Just watched her BGT performance on you tube, love the slow start and the build up and than it draws in towards the middle and grabs your attention, overall great performance. It just grows on you every time on each listen, and its very catchy.

And to the person that said Clean Bandit was the main act, I don't think so, its the artist that was featured on the track, surely the artist that is singing the track takes priority over the main act, its no different from using Jess Glynne.

It's quite clear (to me) that this is a Clean Bandit track featuring the vocals of Louisa Johnson. It's the same for any such track, the vocalist might get more attention (simply by virtue of the camera focusing on them), but it doesn't change the fact they aren't the main act.

Saying the vocalist should always get more attention as they sing is rubbish. Should Wake Me Up be seen as Aloe Blacc's song rather than Avicii? Uptown Funk as Bruno Mars' song? Ride on Time as Heather Small's song? Yeah, don't worry about those producers and instrumentalists, all there is to a song is singing

This is indisputably Clean Bandit's song as they are the lead credit, even if Simon/the media are clearly marketing it as Louisa's song doesn't mean it's true. (The song's growing on me too yay)

It depends on whether you come from a dance or pop perspective. I come from a dance perspective because I am a fan of funky/disco house (a consequence of having started to properly listen to dance music in 2005 I think), which is the genre of the song, and obviously I would credit Clean Bandit above Louisa (I do like Louisa's vocals) as would Clean Bandit fans, but if you are a Louisa Johnson fan, you would obviously be more interested in her contribution.
This is of course a Clean Bandit song, but Louisa will get more attention than the likes of Aloe Blacc (who wasn't credited) or someone like Sharna Bass (Extraordinary) purely because Louisa is a well-known name in her own right.

I knew it reminded me a little bit of something else...this from just under 11 years ago

Similar production and similar lyrical theme

OMG Marina!

Just heard that song, very retro sound! Seems like Clean Bandit are going fully nu-disco now.
