June 2, 20169 yr Embrace should have won (or... been top 100). Glorious song. Surprised at Gold Digger missing out, that's fairly timeless and probably his best hit.
June 3, 20169 yr In My Place is among Coldplay's best songs. It just doesn't have the same structure as most of their other hits. It pulls different heart strings.
June 4, 20169 yr Author 100-91 8xg3vE8Ie_E 7.02 91 Taylor Swift – Love Story 7.01 92 Arctic Monkeys – Brianstorm 7.00 93 Nick Jonas - Jealous 6.99 94 Girls Aloud – Something New 6.98 95 Girls Aloud - Jump 6.98 96 Robbie Williams & Kylie Minogue – Kids 6.96 97 Ultrabeat - Pretty Green Eyes 6.95 98 Puretone - Addicted To Bass 6.95 99 Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love 6.93 100 Supermen Lovers feat. Mani Hoffman - Starlight Starting the top 100 is some early 00s funky/nu-disco house by one-hit wonder Supermen Lovers, aka French producer Guillaume Atlan - and I'm pleasantly surprised to see it in the top 100, great start! The Darkness appear again this time with their bigger and non-festive hit 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love', which is probably the closest thing to 80s rock in this rundown. It's done well though and I liked it a lot at the time too. Puretone brought the bass to the top of the chart although missed out on #1 by a small margin. He was however the number one living artist in the chart that week as Aaliyah beat the song to #1 with 'More Than A Woman'. Another dance song at #97 but the last of this section, Ultrabeat had a big hit with 'Pretty Green Eyes', their first release and now considered a Clubland classic. Robbie Williams teamed with Kylie Minogue to make the very average 'Kids'. Both artists have done much better solo but I guess it got enough fans to be a big hit and the highest entry for Robbie in this rundown. Kylie Minogue still has three more songs to come. Girls Aloud had a large number of #2 hits across their long career, and all five of them appear in the top 100 - to be expected considering their large fanbase on Buzzjack. Their cover of The Pointer Sisters' 'Jump' (which isn't as great as the original, imo) and their final hit single 'Something New' released for Children In Need drop out next to each other. Nick Jonas surprised everyone by actually making listenable music after being a part of The Jonas Brothers, which started off with #2 hit 'Jealous' which gets an average of exactly 7/10. Aside, only the top 15 have an average of 8/10 or greater and no song has of or above 9/10. Arctic Monkeys continued their big singles chart success into their 2nd era, which started with #2 hit 'Brianstorm', one of their best songs too with a great riff. It enters the rundown at #92. Taylor Swift has her first of three entries at #91 with 'Love Story', her first #2 hit. Buzzjack get it right thankfully as her other #2s are a lot better than this.
June 5, 20169 yr Jealous already out and before Real Love? All you f**king w***rs who didnt want Nick Jonas to be top 90 suck my d!!! Jess Glynne didnt f**king deserve it again. On a serious note, I'm glad Arctic Monkeys managed to get into the top 100.
June 5, 20169 yr I feel offended at how low those GA songs are. Especially Something New. I don't find either of the two that have dropped out a major loss. I hope No Good Advice does really well though - definitely my favourite #2 from them.
June 5, 20169 yr Author 90-81 e82VE8UtW8A 7.09 81 Rihanna – Rude Boy 7.09 82 Leona Lewis – Better In Time / Footprints In The Sand 7.08 83 Mark Ronson feat Daniel Merriweather – Stop Me 7.06 84 Avril Lavigne – Girlfriend 7.05 85 Take That – The Flood 7.05 86 IIO - Rapture 7.04 87 Jeff Buckley – Hallelujah 7.03 88 Eric Prydz – Pjanoo 7.03 89 Fifth Harmony feat. Ty Dolla $ign - Work From Home 7.03 90 Corinne Bailey Rae - Put Your Records On Corinne Bailey starts the section with the overrated 'Put Your Records On'. It's really not that special imo but it's always been very much liked by the majority. At least the rest of this section is an improvement on this. Fifth Harmony broke through last year with #3 'Worth It' but it wasn't until 'Work From Home' when they got their first massive hit in the UK. With it being very on-trend and being by a girlgroup of course it would get lots of love on Buzzjack (it also got its share of hate too though). Eric Prydz's biggest #2 hit is also the highest of his on this rundown, also a rarity in that it is fully instrumental, 'Pjanoo' remains a proper house anthem to this day. The release of 'Hallelujah' by X-Factor Winner Alexandra Burke prompted fans of the original to get it back into the chart, but those fans were very much outnumbered by fans of Jeff Buckley's cover version (which to be fair is the best version) which made #2 for Christmas behind Alexandra. It's still very well thought of now as it gets well inside the top 100 here. House group IIO took 'Rapture' to #2, being stopped by Afroman of all people. It's still very much a tune though of course I have to give a shout-out to Nadia Ali's solo version produced by Avicii which made the top 40 just over 10 years later. Robbie agreed to rejoin Take That for one era back in 2010 and the hype of that easily gave them a big hit with 'The Flood' although it only made #2. The song clearly didn't sell on hype alone though as it was a long lasting hit and is well regarded on Buzzjack. Avril Lavigne brought her fun rockpop 'Girlfriend' to the top end of the chart for many weeks but never saw #1 with it due to the Proclaimers' charity single, unlucky. It's not something I listen to often though as it's annoyingly catchy  Mark Ronson started his domination of the chart with 'Stop Me', which I didn't realise until years later was actually a cover - though I should have guessed as all his follow-ups of the era were covers. I always liked this more than his 'Valerie' but both are good. Leona Lewis followed up her biggest hit with 'Better In Time' which unsurprisingly isn't as good as 'Bleeding Love' but still fairly listenable. I don't rate it that highly though, top 100 is probably a bit high for this. Rihanna finishes the section with 'Rude Boy', the third of eight entries for her. I've always found this to be a proper jamm :music:
June 5, 20169 yr Some good tunes in that last selection of tracks . Rudeboy I believe is my first 11 to leave :)
June 5, 20169 yr Can't believe that awful Work From Home is so high. Soft porn at its worst. I feel sorry for those girls, it has completely the opposite message of their last song Worth It...
June 5, 20169 yr Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah is, in my opinion, one of only three cover versions (along with Johnny Cash's Hurt and Pet Shop Boys' Always On My Mind) to be unquestionably better than the original.
June 7, 20169 yr Author 80-71 sXdbrbrxsQ0 7.20 71 Rachel Stevens - Some Girls 7.20 72 Rihanna - Pon De Replay 7.20 73 Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way 7.19 74 P!nk - Get The Party Started 7.17 75 Cascada – Everytime We Touch 7.14 76 Booty Luv – Boogie 2Nite 7.14 77 Adele – Chasing Pavements 7.14 78 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Take Me Home 7.12 79 JoJo - Leave (Get Out) 7.11 80 Kelly Rowland - Stole Kelly Rowland with a song I never saw the fuss over gets as high as #80. I couldn't hum any of it to you either, quite forgettable for me and I haven't heard it much. JoJo got her first hit with 'Leave (Get Out)' when she was only 13 years old, it is surprisingly good for someone of her age anyway. She is currently working on her third studio album, apparently, though hasn't released an album since 2006 due to label issues. Sophie Ellis-Bextor got her big breakthrough with 'Groovejet' and followed it up with this, which I'm not actually very familiar with. Her biggest solo hit was yet to come though and appears later in the rundown. Before Adele became the biggest female singer on the planet she had a good deal of success with the '19' era, which started out with 'Chasing Pavements' which hit #2 following her BBC Sound Of win. It's still well liked on this forum but has been overshadowed by more recent songs since. Booty Luv were once a thing, yes. Despite their name sounding like a novelty act the song is anything but, with 'Boogie 2Nite' being a great disco-house jam (TheSnake would approve) after being remixed by Seamus Haji for its single release. More dance with Cascada who start the top 75, who were the biggest name in the mid-00s eurodance era. They would debut with their biggest and most remembered hit 'Everytime We Touch', which is a proper TUNE - though would continue to have chart hits for a few more years including a number one. P!nk with one of her best songs 'Get The Party Started' gets a good position in this rundown too. I'm personally disappointed that her other song in this is higher but that is Buzzjack for you. Red Hot Chilli Peppers get a surprisingly high average score for 'By The Way', which I don't really think is that special. I'd swap this with 'Dani California' in the rundown personally. Rihanna had her breakthrough hit with 'Pon de Replay' which is still one of her best pre-Loud era. It's got a great beat to it. Rachel Stevens does well here with 'Some Girls' which is quite a fun pop track. She still has another track remaining in this rundown.
June 7, 20169 yr Loving the Stole love ! Could have been a number 1 (was chatting on import before single release for a few weeks). Another great bunch of songs :)

Speaking of two-hit wonders from 2009, La Roux also appears here with her breakthrough hit 'In For The Kill'. Manic Street Preachers had one last big hit in 2007 with 'Your Love Alone...' which is easily their most popular song out of their 3 entries here and also had a better chart run. Artful Dodger famously introduced us to Craig David but had some other hits too including 'Movin' Too Fast' which is one of the best of its genre. Justin Timberlake appears twice here with 'Like I Love You' and 'My Love'. He has 2 more to go, which doesn't include most recent #2 'Can't Stop The Feeling' as it missed the cut-off point. Also in this section are songs by Christina Aguilera, Black Eyed Peas and Moloko.
