July 10, 20169 yr I respect that you're trying to make it fair and stick to the rules etc but this really isn't fair in the least and I'm not just saying this because Tim is my friend but I feel like there's a bit of victimisation going on here. James is well known for playing his entries on plug, and I mean constantly (I'm not trying to drag others down here I'm just pointing it out), many, many of us share potentials, that's even discussed in the confirmations threads so often, and then you get those that come on plug and share their song claiming it's just a """"potential"""", with all those quotation marks included so everyone knows it's what they've settled on. If you've decided to come down hard on the no sharing rule this month you should have reiterated that at the beginning instead of just chosing one person the night the semis are supposed to go up to make an example of them, I'm sure there's more than just Tim that's guilty of sharing songs this contest, and every contest for that matter. The fact it was his second confirmation as well shows that it wasn't even his first choice and wouldn't have been what he'd ultimately send to people... What proof do you have that he did "overstep the line" on this rule? Completely agree with this post, especially the bolded part - if the mods are gonna crack down on this kind of thing then that's one thing (which I disagree with anyway but that's a separate point), but don't just suddenly decide to make a point of it mid contest with no warning? It is really ridiculous to veto TP4Y without at least first posting this PSA or whatever when so many similar and worse cases have been allowed through, I sincerely hope the mods overturn this.
July 10, 20169 yr Also like Lidnsey said, this song wasn't even my first choice to begin with, as Ego got vetoed. So it's not like I played it on plug as an entry either, since the last time I was there must've been at least before my exams. Just a lil'point I wanted to add x
July 10, 20169 yr I've read through the whole thread and I do feel that this is all a bit excessive vetoing Tims entry when like he says I where my entry out all the time like nothing else although for the last two months I've not played Any potentials on plug. I've legit only ever seen one person chart TP4Y in the PC forum and even if like 5 people knew the song because he played it on plug and liked it doesn't necessarily mean it gives him the upper hand. I respect the work the mods do but I think you should let Tims entry proceed to the semis and then perhaps introduce a blanket ban on asking opinions On potentials and playing them on plug because then nothing like this should happen again.

If you were made to think that you should be thankful you're not suspended I'm sorry for giving that impression. It was not my intention at all. I apologise I was perhaps a little too brief. One thing that will be happening later is that we're bringing out a revised set of rules that will prevent a repeat occourance of this. I'm sorry if you're been made to feel like we have targeted you, all I can do is assure you this isn't the case. None of the mods have any ill feelings towards anyone here. Sorry this is once more a bit brief and scattered. I will actually be a lot clearer when I eventually make it back to my laptop
