I've read rumours that a big Martin Garrix x Dua Lipa is coming, which they're banking on to be a big hit. I have no idea if this is the case.
This collaboration is true. Martin premiered it on NYE in Myanmar, but I think she's referring to another collaborations in her tweet (re: 'exciting collaborations that are in the works').

This has now reached 400 weeks on the UK albums chart top 100! Consistent smash!

Back inside the UK top 40 this week at #34!

This is a bit like Samantha Jade's album which ended up missing off a bunch of singles.

This is like Stooshe - They had a big hit with 'Black Heart' then the follow up faltered which resulted in the album being delayed multiple times, getting track changes, a cover change etc., the full album leaked before release. The album was eventually released and reached #8 and quickly disappeared (As did the bands record deal).

They have removed the 2 instant grat tracks from iTunes but streaming hasn't caught up yet and they are still available on Apple etc.,

I guess the glimmer of hope is 'No Lie' is currently #13 and if it gets the 59p treatment on Friday it could push it Top 10, 'Be The One' is #41 - even if these both become hits it may not be enough to launch the album to record company standards, they are clearly going after huge platinum Top 5 smashes and have high expectations for the album which I doubt will be met regardless of when it's released.

'Hotter Than Hell' went gold and 'Blow Your Mind' silver however as said above when the album is finally released both will be a year + old and forgotten.

Could the album campaign be saved? Looks like 2 big hits are on the way...

 13 No Lie

 17 Be The One

Both reduced to 59p on Friday could result in a double Top 10 entry!

I knew it was too early to write Be the One off, it's bound to be a-listed on Radio 1 soon and have the 59p treatment. They need to put it on the big Spotify playlists now, which will hopefully be done ASAP because it's clearly got the potential to be bigger than Mwah!
How many times is she gonna change the release date? First 10th February, now 2nd June
Be The One is looking to be pretty big for Dua, it just needs a bump to the A list for a week or 2 from Radio 1 and then Hot Hits UK to add it to their playlist to push it.
Seems like holding the album back was a great decision after all - they would have been releasing on the back of Top 15 and Top 30 singles and now potentially will be releasing off the back of two Top 10 hits!

I'd say they got damn lucky rather than made a good decision.

Plus the album is still like half a year away.

The thing is they'll need to bank on her getting another hit to launch the album now. If they pushed it back just a month, they would have had what will presumably be two sizable hits on the go or just gone, which is better than nothing.
'Be The One' would have left the chart by the time the album actually gets released if they're sticking to this date, they must be expecting the Martin Garrix collab to do well and release it off of that.
That's out next week though, even presuming it takes around 2 months to take off like No Lie has, as a feature it's not going to sell the album well even if it was a really big hit. Be The One would have sold the album really well, I know they couldn't have known that she'd be looking at 2 hits when they pushed the album back but it's just typical she has both a feature and a solo hit taking off just after they pushed the album back a long way again :drama:
I don't think Dua would sell many albums even if she did get a top 5 hit or two beforehand. She needs an album out there for the singles to promote - perhaps a lower peak but more sales in the long run, for a new pop artist like her she will struggle to sell albums off the buzz of pre-album singles and it seems like she's going to run out of potential post-album singles.
I find that unless they're a well known artist, having hit singles is never really enough for an artist to sell an album without promo. Like I said before, a slot on Graham would sort her out in the album charts (so long as it was a decent performance).
I want to swing on her label. The album just needs to be out already. And I guarantee you they've started scrapping songs to reshape the album again and make up for the push back. How annoying.
'No Lie' and 'Be The One' both reduced to 59p and currently at #12 and #13 on iTunes :cheer:

Be The One to be another hit for her please

Her album really should've been out by now. She has a few songs out and radio seem to be on board so it seems like an optimum time. Either way, i'm excited for it whenever it comes ~
