November 17, 20168 yr Good lord they're going to absolutely BUTCHER that :( They'll just mime it and get a standing ovation as usual :(

November 18, 20168 yr Emily will do the version Drew Ryniewicz did on XF US but that was utterly stunning and there's little chance that she'll be anywhere near as good, but at least the song is already slow so she isn't John Lewis-ing up a happy fun pop song  Ew at matt's choice, he'll just go OTT on the vocal acrobatics.

So it is kinda getting the John Lewis treatment  She has no power in her voice to pull off that song, no matter the form. I probably have it in my head that I'll hate it so much, that it actually surprises me, but I just can't see her doing it. :( 'Writing's On The Wall' is a good choice for Matt, although I hate the song. So I'm expecting Saara and 5AM to be my top 2 again this week... :\ I don't want 5AM in my top 2 again
November 18, 20168 yr Author I'd rather Ryan did a more current song but he's gone regardless so just hoping he ends on a high with a good performance

I am expecting to HATE 5am, they just don't have the vocals for a song like that. They'll do some dated choreography with it and be praised for being drowned out by backing vocalists. Although tbh the only song choices I particularly like are Saara's and Honey G's. Ryan's suits him enough although I just don't tend to enjoy his performances.
November 18, 20168 yr Author Emily: "I just want to move" *Does another ballad* Simon really doesn't seem to care this year :drama:
November 18, 20168 yr Tbf to her if it's THAT bad she can just say she isn't really feeling the song, we've seen acts doing that already. It seems to be fine for some acts to do it, but not others. And I'd have thought Emily was a priority being a returnee with already a bit of a fanbase and hype around her.
November 18, 20168 yr I actually think Writing's On The Wall is a good song choice for Matt. He probably will overdo the vocal acrobatics, but it'll be a good song to show off his voice. He needs it after the last few weeks, which have been poor by his standards Expecting Saara to steal the show again though with that song I wouldn't be surprised to see both Emily and Ryan close to the start of the show. If the producers have any sense they should be gearing towards an Emily vs. Ryan bottom two
November 18, 20168 yr This series reminds me of Sam Baileys year tbh, that felt SO dated and so does this.
November 18, 20168 yr Yeah Saara's is definitely a pimp slot defining moment song. Matt can handle that song for sure, he could handle pretty much any song vocally, I just think it's the sort of song where rather than singing it he'll do loads of his runs and the judges will take that as being good when really it's annoying to listen to
November 18, 20168 yr Author Saara's song definitely feels like a pimp slot moment but I could see them closing with Matt - he's not closed the show yet (surprisingly) while Saara has?
November 18, 20168 yr It is almost certainly going to be Matt or Saara, but it depends on what the producers are prioritising most. If they want a Ryan/Emily sing-off for maximum drama, this seems to be an intention considering Emily not going uptempo despite the protests last week, then they could put Saara on last to make sure she stays above them two. Or they could put her on straight after Emily without an ad break to "memory hole" Emily due to Saara's fantastic vocals. On the other hand, they could be lining up Matt for his big moment - assuming he is still Plan A for victory. In that case he'd finally get a pimp slot. There's also a slim chance Honey is still only just polling above the drop zone hence the almighty pimpings each week, could she finally come unstuck? My early prediction for the running order would be: 1. Ryan -- AD BREAK -- 2. Emily 3. Saara -- AD BREAK -- 4. 5AM -- AD BREAK -- 5. Honey -- AD BREAK -- 6. Matt That would lead to a bottom 2 of Emily and Ryan, and they could potentially go to deadlock if Emily is bottom of the vote for maximum drama - Ryan could make some sort of protest and say he'll go instead of Emily and all sorts of drama.
November 19, 20168 yr Saara doing another song that Sam Bailey did on the live shows. They'll probably use the same arrangement like they did for No More Tears last week. Not complaining because Saara is growing to be one of my favourites but it's funny that someone mentioned it felt like Sam Bailey's year.. Edited November 19, 20168 yr by Kye
November 24, 20168 yr One of Saara's songs is The Winner Takes It All as she did at judges houses! I'm very much excited for a full length version, and while there could've been better choices for Louis Loves there could be much worse!
