In an ideal world, we'd see some fresher sounding dance tracks becoming big over the next year or so. I remember how fresh songs like 'Latch', 'White Noise', 'So Good To Me' and 'Need U (100%)' sounded after years of dance-pop. Something similar soon would be preferable to the current dance music getting into the charts. Fingers crossed.

Can't believe Olly's new single is stalling

Are Bastille on the rise? I thought they were low top 20 but they're 12.

is anyone of note except Major Lazer releasing tomorrow?

Pitbull and Cher Lloyd, don't think they'll trouble the charts though.

PS. Just seen my quote down there

 3. Shawn Mendes - Treat You Better

#4 combined due to Calum Scott's two versions but this is doing great right now! A fantastic recovery after how relatively badly IKWYDLS did.

Thanks for all the replies regarding "Fergalicious" :D

Any news about the new Pitbull track?

It's out tomorrow I believe? Wouldn't expect it to make much of an instant impression anyway!

Know its not gonna happen but would be amazing if cher Lloyd shocks everyone and shoots up

That Jodie Abacus song sounds like it would have been a minor hit in the early 2000s when this sort of Jamiroquai-ish stuff was popular.

Yes tropical house (like Jonas Blue/Kungs) and future bass (like the Chainsmokers) is getting tedious now. Tropical house was amazing when it came out (I loved Stereo Love in 2010) but now it is just boring as it is used too much.

I hope it goes back to early/mid 2000s style dance music for a revival. I am doing 2000s Dance Chart number ones soon with DanG and Ethan and the style of those trance and funky house records sound amazing compared to today's tropical house and future bass. Dance tracks then just sound more energetic and lively whereas now they are more chilled and monotone.

Oh and about Cold Water, here is a dance themed song about water from 2005 which is better imo

Interesting, I have liked his last 5 singles but they've done nothing on the charts (except for my personal one :P )

I wonder if he will actually promo this one or just drop it and hope for the best

Looks like Calum Scott won't have the NOW 94 effect to help him as it's album-only
