A FHM Honeys remix of 'I Touch Myself' really happened ew.

Shame Mason didn't follow up, did they?

Well the FHM Honeys cover isn't as bad as I thought it would be sonically. The video subject matter is predictable of course, although even that video isn't as bad as the Stupidisco one which is definitely one of the worst I have had the mispleasure of seeing.

Mason has had a track out this year called "Rhino" unless that is yet another Mason... good song as well, heard it on Greg James' Dance Anthems after the chart a few months ago.

Plus one out last year called Fashion Killa with Stefflon Don, which did rather well in BJSC two contests ago (Lenny please join BJSC btw :D ).

There is another dance hit credited to Mason (Strong In Love with Chicane #32 October 1998) but this seems to be a different Mason.

Wikipedia suggests that Mason who featured on the Chicane track is Sylvia Mason-James, who has sung on numerous tracks, most notably on Jimmy Nail's 1992 #1 hit Ain't No Doubt.

Haha - I don't really have the time I'm afraid. I used to take part in DigitalSpy's equivalent DSFESC and in fact won an edition, coming close another few times, but it became rife with 'bloc voting' between 'friends' (cheating in other words) and also they went too far with 'countries' they'd add. It's put me off doing something like that again, on top of not having the time.

Freddo says "oi bish, where's the next number 1?" (is it because it's my 4 and I need to get a move on? haha!)

Cascada - Miracle

http://chartarchive.org/artwork/21619-raw.jpg

Date: 4th March 2007

Weeks at #1: 1 week

Official Chart Run: 57-x-88-8-11-15-24-27-36-42-54-49-57-71-82-85 (15 weeks top 100, 6 of those top 40)

Eurodance comes back to the dance number 1 slot with Cascada's song Miracle (originally credited as 'I Need A Miracle' on the official charts during its first early week at #57). Cascada were the only ones really carrying the hard eurodance flag at this point in the charts considering they did the charting remix of Kim Sozzi's Break Up, the only other hard eurodance song around in the UK chart top 40 apart from the Cascada songs in 2007. It wouldn't be until early 2008 that more artists joined what would be a brief revival for the genre in the UK charts.

Cascada had three further songs after this making the UK top 40, What Hurts The Most, Because The Night and Evacuate The Dance Floor (the latter representing a change in dance style for them). Sadly their next song after 'Miracle' the great tune imo 'A Never Ending Dream' only made #46 in July 2007.

As for Miracle I think I remember it from the time and may have started fancying Ms Cascada herself a bit from the video :kink: . As for the song I liked it considerably better than Cascada's precious songs I think.

The next dance number 1 is massively different in dance style to 'Miracle', and during Cascada's week at dance number 1 had debuted at a respectable #16 but was about to become bigger in the charts, making top 10 for two weeks.

From title I didn’t recognise that at all but listening to it I do. Surprised to see it as a Dance number 1.
Miracle was released on a different label Incentive. AATW were furious because they wanted to get their second single out but because Incentive already had the rights to Miracle, they put that out to capitalise on the success of Everytime, so AATW had to wait for that to come and go!

Really! I never knew that! Wasn’t ‘Miracle’ on the Everytime We Touch album?

I never knew that about Miracle! Considering its release in March it just seemed like a natural progression between TMD and Neverending Dream done by AATW. I bought the CD single for Miracle which had a horrificly edited version of the song included.
Right coming up later tonight, sorry I got waylaid with the PFSC voting on Friday and forgot yesterday to post it but am ready later tonight!

Please stop making excuses - you’ve been posting non stop in the lounge, we aren’t blind

Looking forward to the next one; I’m so out of sync with this I’ve forgotten where we are!

Tomorrow night 100% it will be up by me with a nice long review.

Tbh I didn't know people were still interested in this thread, but its great they are!

I was actually rediscovering the wonderful 90s dance number 1s thread that inspired this recently and 90s dance in general.
