Ronnie suddenly having a change in personality and Jack acting as if he purposely didn't wear condoms with all the Mitchell girls are laughable. I hope Jack leaves in the new year.

For how much I felt like they should be together I kind of resent Jack and Ronnie rn  All they do is criticise Roxy as if the sun shines out of their asses...

Also I had to do a double take thinking spam was back in the cafe when Roxy stormed out after realising she missed picking the kids up

I also legit thought Pam was sitting right there and was wondering why no one had stopped to say hello.
This Christmas play storyline really is becoming unwatchable! :')

Phil's got his own Keith Miller armchair! :D

I feel like there could be some sort of body issue storyline coming up for Shakil: Carmel has said twice recently that he is "skin and bone", there was that scene where he looked at himself topless in the mirror and he thinks that Bex has criticised how he was/looked like in bed.

I would be intrigued if they explored male body issues as it is usually a topic tackled from a female's perspective!

I can see qhy you'd think that but I'm looking forward to it. The clip of everyone dancing and having fun reminds me of the New Year's Eve episode from 1987 (it's on YouTube) where literally all that happened was people got pissed in the pub, but it was such a well put together episode that was full of community spirit and had genuinely funny moments. Certainly helped that back then all characters were full of charisma and were able to carry those scenes so well, but the trailer gives me hints of that nonetheless.

It looks like it also gives Leticia a chance to shine with Sharon - from just that trailer it looks like she'll be so much more natural and true to character when you compare it to last year's Christmas trailer.

I don't think SOC's work has necessarily been faultless, but I have little doubt the Christmas and New Year episodes will be a great watch.

The New Year's Day and the week that follows have been particularly so, but yes the Christmas spoilers have had the main stories unrevealed too.
Hopefully there's an embargoed return or something, although hopefully not someone disappointing like Jack last year! There's rumours of both Glenda & Danny returning for Ronnie's wedding. I'm not sure I want to see Danny again after his awful first stint but yes @ more Glenda
I can't at Johnny judging acting for the play!

I was thinking the same thing!

I actually demand to know why I'm not provided with an Eastenders role when Johnny has one.

Fancy casting Jay opposite a 15 year old girl. Severe stupidity there.

Yet again, why is Ronnie being hailed as saviour of all mothers? She leaves Matthew with a 90 year old who can't see!

Ronnie is really getting on my nerves, I'm finding myself counting down the days until she leaves!
And can I comment on how tiny Walford Primary is for a school in London? Amy, Lilly and Ricky all being in the same Nativity despite different year groups and having to use actual livestock instead of the traditional 'you can be a sheep' that some promising young actors often get stuck with.
The only way I can justify Ronnie being portrayed as the best mother, wife and human all of a sudden is that it's just Roxy's perception of her. I know SOC is trying to make characters sympathetic again but no amount of that is going to disguise the bad things she's done.
