After watching it live, my reaction to the whole thing was:

But after watching it a couple more times and digesting it, I'm much more:

... at least, about Britney herself. My reaction to G-Eazy is still:

...beyond the fact he is a solid 8/10 would bang.

That background with the hands and the opening reminded me of those macrophilia videos on plug the other day (I did say they were better than the Make Me video)

If we compare this to any performance from 2006-2016 it's an 11/10.

The more I watch and see how PRESENT she is again the more I f***ing adore it. She hit the moves just as good as the backup dancers and she oozed confidence. Fantastic.

 Spot on analysis tbh.

I think it was a really important performance in cementing her as a popstar that still looks amazing, can move, show confidence and sex. There's a possibility, due to her nerves that she herself wanted less focus on herself.

I'm pleased.

Glad it's on her VEVO!

Glad they were speedy in getting it up on Vevo! Should help MM out when it comes to the Billboard Hot 100, right?

I have no idea if that counts? Especially as a mash up

Just watched it and I loved it - I know it's not the big productions we've been used to at the VMA's (bar 2007's disaster) but she genuinely looked more natural and moved better than I've seen her in ages. It didn't look like she was following a series of steps in choreography like it has done for ages now. It looked spontaneous and she was alive. Yes!

I loved the performance! She looked incredible <3 My only gripe is why did she take the mic back toward the end of the performance as it really just highlighted the awkward lip syncing.

It should count as there was 30 seconds of both songs, so I think it'scounting towards both

Anyway I honestly don't get what y'all are raving about. It was all so awkward, the dancing was off and she looked like she was planning her next move every time.

Even her miming was off in the MM&I part...

Her moves did NOT look awkward. Vegas last year or the BBMA's could be called stiff (at least in the first half), but her confidence was great and she danced great.

You can go in on the lipping though.

The performance was underwhelming for sure. She needed more dancers, more interesting choreo and better production but what I liked most about it was how confident and natural she seemed compared to the BBMAs. (Even though I preferred that performance overall).

Miming was off for sure though. :')

Exactly. The problem was not her being fluid in her moves, she was on top of everything including that snap (lol the little things).

Add about 5 more dancers and a walk down to the lower stage to go into 'MM&I' and it would have made the world of difference. The stiff comments are so annoying when the same people were calling her stiff here;

And some people acting like that's on the same level as this.

BRITNEY'S BIGGEST COMPETITION IS HERSELF

Starting to think 'Just Luv Me' is a song she wrote to her fans and the GP.

She proved that she can't sing live.Good dancer and performer but always lip synching. She's not the only one though. Most pop stars lip synch on live performances. There are exceptions though.

That I wanna go performance is still my fav Britney performance of all time. Sorry Slave 2001.

Yeah I agree, that was what stood out to me most. I actually really enjoyed the performance! It did seemed to be hyped up a lot and didn't meet those expectations but, at the same time, I didn't feel disappointed or underwhelmed by that. She was confident and natural for sure! Loved the 'Me Myself & I' insert, Britney's vocals suited the hook SO well and I want an official studio version of that! It also showed how much more oomph a specially-recorded vocal delivers instead of just using a studio track; I think the 'Make Me...' parts of the performance could have really done with a pre-recorded vocal.

Why are people surprised she didn't sing live? My biggest shock was her use of.... a hand held microphone. When did that last happen?
