I was expecting something really epic sounding but this just doesn't deliver. :( I kept waiting for the chrous to smash it 'Love Me Like You Do' style, which I suppose is part of the problem if I was anticipating another song like that. Tbf, she's already recreated that song with 'Army'.

Yeah, I feel the media have made some of us think this was going to be as musically impressive as Love Me Like You Do. Still, I think it's a good enough song in its own right.

The whole dubstep-esque bit at the end really brings this down, but it's a solid song and sounds like it's perfect for a movie soundtrack.

Overhyped and was expecting so much more so this is a HUGE disappointment :nocheer:

I love the simple bassline that runs through the track, and it's a catchy song without being HUGE like Love Me Like You Do. I think she sounds good on it too, a little like Tove Lo in places but perhaps she followed Tove's guide vocals on a demo or something.

I echo pretty much all that Rich said. Love Me Like You Do is possibly my favourite ballad of this decade so I'm glad she hasn't trying to retread it because it wouldn't have come off nearly as well, but this is very effective in it's own way and a definite grower. Can see myself really loving this and yeah, it definitely has Tove feels especially in the "aaaalll I breathe, aaaaalll I feel" which could literally BE Tove.

I was expecting something bigger the first time I heard it (especially with the early LMLYD comparisons) so it was originally really disappointing but I'm really loving this now!

It reminds me of a cross between Army and a Tove Lo album track, so, not an immediate hit, but still great.

in regards to Burn, Ellie was added as fake writer but did nothing since the original song was first offered to many people and we heard the Leona version and the lyrics were identical

Kind of share this sentiment. She doesn't seem to do anything except tarnish her first two albums for me these days. She bitched about 'Starry Eyed' when this came out and it was seriously baffling. If she could make a song with as much heart in it as that again it'd be a miracle.

That's what I thought as Leona had a version long before Ellie sang it etc. They change a word or two and done. It's what Britney and sBeyonce do. Very deceptive.
