August 23, 20169 yr Richard Ashcroft's Album "These People" has had a significant boost these last couple of weeks (up to number 29 in Monday's chart from 87 last week), I know it has been reduced to £4.99 on iTunes but I have heard songs from the Album played in the background during the Olympics Highlights programmes in last few days.
August 23, 20169 yr Interesting that the Frank Ocean album hasn't got any tracks you can buy individually, will be interesting to see if any of the tracks make the charts when it comes out on spotify
August 23, 20169 yr Interesting that the Frank Ocean album hasn't got any tracks you can buy individually, will be interesting to see if any of the tracks make the charts when it comes out on spotify I think we'll get at least five album tracks in the top 100 when it comes out on Spotify or any number between five and ten. It's doing very well on Apple Music at the moment anyway.
August 23, 20169 yr Albums 1 Frank Ocean - Blond (20.8k) * 2 Dolly Parton - Pure & Simple (12.2k) * Come through Frank! :yahoo:
August 23, 20169 yr Yay for frank means we won't get a low selling number 1 but poor dolly she should have released last week
August 24, 20169 yr Damn ! Rick Astley has got some staying power with that album. I thought it would be a 4 week wonder. What's keeping it going ? What kind of promo is he doing ?
August 24, 20169 yr Rick Astley has done lots of promo but mostly his success is due to the constant and huge R2 airplay

August 24, 20169 yr DJ Snake outsold Major Lazer yesterday! :D Good. Hope he eventually overtakes them
August 24, 20169 yr just fixed a few of the sales figures in Joe's post if I may. DJ Snake is actually closer to Major Lazer than what was posted, the song is only ~400 copies behind and as Joseph said DJ Snake was the top selling song of yesterday, so it seems very likely that DJ Snake will be this week's #1 :D
August 24, 20169 yr Justin coming for his 5th #1 within a year :o :cheer: he'll be the first to do so, I thought The Beatles did it but they've only done 4 :o
August 24, 20169 yr but if there is 1 day of streaming data missing then than would benefit Cold Water, it's the same story as we had with One Dance always being #2 in th mids and ending up at #1 and didn't Westlife had 5 #1s within a year? their first 5
August 24, 20169 yr Ahh ok, yeah I guess Cold Water is a good few hundred sales further ahead then at least so should be safe this week. But it does look as though Let Me Love You could do it next week in that case.
August 24, 20169 yr he'll be the first to do so, I thought The Beatles did it but they've only done 4 :o Actually, I believe Westlife managed it. From Swear It Again in May 99 to Fool Again in April 2000.
