This one was a bit of a drama. We were meant to be getting an expensive, high energy and choreographed David LaChapelle video. Unfortunately, for reasons that seem to differ from person to person, the video was buried. We were, instead, given a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills knockoff, which included a cringe-worthy and nonsensical plot. Britney looks amazing in the video, and her solo/beauty shots are pretty decent. However, just when you think the video might be okay, you hear the cackle of the witches of Eastwick over the sensational song. The video might have been passable, if it were for like, 'Do Somethin', 'Private Show', 'Pretty Girls' etc, but the main issue is that the director and creators of the video didn't seem to have listened to the song. 'Make Me' is a sensual, smooth and silky jam, it needed a video that celebrated that.

August 23, 20168 yr Awe I didn't mind the Make Me music video :/ Of what I know, Pretty Girls to slay here - really liked that video and the song was quite the bop, too.
August 23, 20168 yr I would've said last place was a bit harsh for that but having seen all of her videos one after the other on a couple of occasions in the past couple of weeks, it really is shown up to be quite lacklustre. I prefer it to Radar and Gimme More's videos at least though.

The song and the video do not match at all and it genuinely spoils the song. We may have also been promised something fantastic for 'Gimme More' and got something that didn't live up to expectations, but I don't watch the video and have it ruin my enjoyment of the song, which is what separates the two (well, actually, I quite like the 'Gimme More' video for what it is, but that's probably because I didn't know anything about what was promised and the video is all I've known).

Around a time where Britney was accused of being robotic, I found her very warm, happy and full of personality in this video. Since it features pretty cheesy and forgettable overall, so it's no surprise it's near the bottom of the pile here.

It doesn't help that the song isn't seen as her best either. She can do a lot better than this. And she did.
August 23, 20168 yr So far, no major losses! I will say that I'm in the camp that thinks 'Make Me' isn't THAT bad. Just a massive non-event and yeah, the women in it cackling really let it down, but it's still a better video than about 4 of these videos! :o
