Every time I hear the title of a Little Mix lead single, it gives me serious flashbacks to Girls Aloud lead single titles.

Ditto. I think I would miss Girls Aloud a lot more if it wasn't for Little Mix.

I think I would certainly miss Kimberly Walsh a lot more if it wasn't for Jade Thirlwall
We've had precisely nothing official yet. I can't lie I'm beginning to get slightly worried- the single is due out next month and we don't even have an official title yet. With Black Magic we got the first play a whole two months before it was officially released. Move also had it's first play a few weeks before it was officially released, while they first performed Wings over a month before it was released
We're in totally different times now though with OA/OS releases! A lot of releases, like Gaga, seem to have their release date announced very close to the date it's actually released. I think Little Mix would benefit from teasers and hypes though to get the media and headlines going.

Yeah, the way things work now, we could literally get an announcement on a Wednesday and the single 2 days later. They'll probably do a week in advance though.

I'm so excited though!

That was basically what we got with Hair. They posted the artwork on the Tuesday night and released it on the Friday
I want some sort of announcement (gosh, even the release) either this week or the next one! Then release the video after 3 days.

No early announcements, please! Makes it much harder. Just say "NEW SINGLE COMING TOMORROW" and release it.

I'm desperate to know what it sounds like, but I kinda don't want snippets. I like to have the whole song experience in full

Ughhhh. I just want some concrete news!

I don't want the book, thank you!!!!! :drama:

*whispers*

It was still in demo form as of last week.

Is this for real?! How would've they filmed the video then?

Did a bit of researching (basically Googling) and worked out that we usually hear the lead single from an album at least six weeks before the song is actually released. If we heard the new single next Friday that would make the six week mark the beginning of November. Then again when Jesy said 'October' at V Festival that didn't necessarily mean the song would be released then. It's possible we could get the first play in October but it won't actually be released until November.

Don't think they'll do it like this taking into account how OA/OS seems to be the rule now. At best I see them releasing it a week later, but even like that it'd be odd.

Yes, where have you beeen Matt! It's all on air sales now. Black Magic was their last ever song with the old chart rules. It'll be announced and released week/a few days later.

No it wasn't, the new chart rules started June 2014. So Salute was the last song with the old chart rules. :P

EDIT: Oh sorry you were referring to On Air sales.... my bad.

I heard a song on Radio 1 today which was really 90s R&B and it sounded so much like Little Mix. I was just waiting for a "shout out to my ex" lyric, thinking it could be their new song.
Sounds like it may be coming October 14th! I'm going to struggle to wait that long, but man I'm excited!

Only 2 more weeks then. We can get through this wait
