The topic from 2015 wasn't as details, but I thought it would be good to have a topic and begin speculation - as like here, contrary to what some people believe, the X Factor still has the ability to provide decent chart boosts.

Similarly to this thread, I will (or one of the other chart mods) can update the topic with the artists when announced and the chart boosts. Additional dates can be added if we get any Saturday performers this year. I'll open the thread now and we can begin to speculate about who will perform.

High Possibilities

OneRepublic (album out 7 Oct)

Tove Lo (album out 21 Oct

I think OR is a good shout but I don't think Tove Lo is quite at that level yet.

why is Nathan Sykes a given? what's his connection with xf?

Olly should promote single 2 on xf I guess

I'd imagine Robbie will get a slot too with his new album coming out!

For some reason i have a feeling Robbie'll do Strictly instead.

Michael Buble, Robbie Williams and Olly Murs seem a given, I'd say Bruno Mars too was a good shout if he is indeed releasing an album this year.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they got the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in and have the finalists sing an Elvis song, following the success of If I Can Dream last year.

Fifth Harmony might get a slot, I imagine Fleur will have something released too.

Surely Louisa will also be returning, even if it is to perform Tears?

more possibilities:

Louisa Johnson (with Clean Bandit as well? unless she has something coming out soon)

Calvin Harris (would be a big ask but I read he was helping in Judges Houses so it's a possibility)

Zara Larsson

Nicole Scherzinger

Robbie Williams

Shawn Mendes

The Chainsmokers

Calum Scott

Ellie Goulding

DNCE

Kings Of Leon

Fifth Harmony

Aston Merrygold

Michael Bublé

Craig David

Olly Murs

Don't forget the obligatory Bublé performance.

I don't think Bublé will be on this year, he has a one -off special show on BBC1 sometime in the autumn

Oh yeah, I meant to ad Louisa, I feel like she's a given. And I feel like an immediate release/ XF performance is the best way for her to get a hit.

Simon will get Fifth Harmony on for That's My Girl, too! They'll be here on tour anyway, so will either do the first or second week of live shows.

I don't think Bublé will be on this year, he has a one -off special show on BBC1 sometime in the autumn

X Factor really love Bublé though, Simon won't pass up the opportunity to book him.
